compounding the problem is that since the league's bullshit veto of their cp3 trade, the clips moonwalked into competitiveness while the lakers tried to just mush a bunch of garbage into a blender with TEAM written on the side in sharpie

if cp3 goes to any other city and the clips are still pissing on their feet (admittedly with a top three player in the ligg), the lakers scrutiny vanishes somewhat

but the kobe contract is still dumb, juergen klinsmann is right, american sports disproportionately rewards past performance versus anticipated production. it's in basically every sport here. and yeah, it's not kobe's fault for taking it, but it's on the lakers for offering it: loyalty is not a luxury sports teams can afford

for my calling boozer a creampuff in the past, he became remarkably efficient in recent years (and fell off a cliff offensively)! also jordan hill is far better than i realized, though still overpaid. the lakers' front line might actually be the sole bright spot this coming season, and if randle pans out, with adequate depth.

unfortunately the rest of the team is still a dumpster fire.

Boozer has always been efficient & consistent. Thibs just never put him in the 4thQ and therefore minutes were down.

I guess we'll see what Sacre is made out of this season, along with the rest of em including Kobe. Gonna be ugly I think.
