I calculated how long it would take me to play through my backlog of unplayed PS3 games with adjustments made for failing willpower as new next gen only games are released vs. new games available on PS3 and that's what I came up with
I think it's fair

While we're on the subject I'll agree that anyone who hates Link to the Past is a fucking irredeemable poser of the first order who no woman could ever truly love

Now that you brought us back to that. Why was Geoff so eager to post that the internet is full of butthurt "NERDS" because they were ragging on this schmo? Could Geoff be the person in question?riley-o wrote:While we're on the subject I'll agree that anyone who hates Link to the Past is a fucking irredeemable poser of the first order who no woman could ever truly love

i had this weird gut-wrenching inner debate last night over whether i should spend $200 on a neogeo cd or not
ultimately i decided on "not" but i'm still kind of conflicted over it

I still think the Neo Geo CD is pretty awesome..loading times is only unbearable in the fighting games, especially the later era games. 200 isn't a bad price if it's in good condition. They hold up better than the faster CDZ models. but yeah if you can get / make a consolized MVS that would definitely be the best outside buying a full cababdominalpillaging wrote:Consolized MVS dude. Either way.. Neo Geo RULES.

Yeah, me too. I love both games dearly and while they're both necessarily similar, their differences make for two unique experiences that I enjoy for different reasons.Wang Mandu wrote:I could never choose. Never!!!copstache wrote:also let me go ahead and say demons souls > dark souls

Re: The Bill's Now Playing Video Game Thread (Now with Bames
I can't really put my finger on why I like Demon's Souls more, but the bottom line is that I played it for at least twice as long as Dark Souls. The objective part of my brain is telling me that they're just two different games that are equally great for different (though overlapping) reasons, but I just didn't fall in love with DkS the way I did with DS.

it looked like it was in great condition. the upside is that it'll play burned cds so i wouldn't have to pay a ton for rare stuff.valgalder wrote:I still think the Neo Geo CD is pretty awesome..loading times is only unbearable in the fighting games, especially the later era games. 200 isn't a bad price if it's in good condition. Demon's Souls was a magical experience but Dark Souls took that experience to a whole other level. I love love love love those games. Truly magical yet my retard words could never do them justice. No game has elicited nerd responses like that song. Soooo fucking triumphant and meaningful you know? They are the (besides The Witcher games) Super Mario World and Street Fighter II of this generation, special godtier games.

I just finished most of it and it is easily the best Arkham game IMOThe Bill wrote:Concerning Batman Origins: Hmm? Negative remarks in reviews I've read are saying it isn't anything special because it's just more of the same. More of one of the best games of this generation's console cycle you mean, dicks.

What, you have to fight Bane over and over again? Is that what they meant when it's more of the same, take the one thing that sucked about Asylum and repeat it?

Angry Arkham Origins Batman was so much better than I'm old and playing golf Asylum / City Batman. The cutscenes and Joker's bit with Harley were so fucking good.
Edit: My PS3 has been retarded the last few days and likes to stall on the system restore so I hoisted it above my head and drunkenly slammed it on my apt. floor. I hope that fixes it. Fucking console hardware. Done with this bullshit.

Just reminds me of how Asylum kept coming up with excuses to repeat the Bane bossfight with slightly altered variables, is all. That was the one thing everyone hated about the game (and seems to have magnanimously forgotten about now), and now you're telling me they did it again.Pisscubes wrote:You fight other people too but you run up against Bane a few times.
