As long ad their was a sweet Steam sale running, I wouldn't care if Gaben killed those people.

Yeah, I'm not in the mood. We'll save Deadly Premonition for a future time. I think I'll just dig further into these Ps2/GameCube/Original XBOX games for a few months.

i came in here to say something about zelda too. it's pretty fucking great. i don't know if it's a system seller, but it's gotta be close. the 3d is pretty ok but i have it turned off and it looks and plays awesome without it.
if youhave a 3ds, you have zero excuse to not go buy this game

weekend game math
vita for $150 + 8GB card $10 + PSplus $30 - $20 after flipping two extra 8GB cards = $170 for a lot of stuff.
newegg sold like 8,000 vitas on ebay in about 12 hours. hopefully cheaper price/remote play/popularity of PS+ means more sales and therefore games for this thing in the long run, but i'm more than happy with the backlog i've already got
just realized this is my first handheld since the OG gameboy i got in '89

Re: The Bill's Now Playing Video Game Thread (Now with Bames
I replayed Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition over the past week, first time.in over a decade. I really like the new characters they added to the game, especially the murderous half-orc Dorn Il-Khan. It holds up great but the barren maps get to be tedious halfway through the game. I was going to read the digital manual before playing but 250+ pages of DnD terms....
Can't decide whether to play Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape: Torment or Icewind Dale 2 next and replaying these has me supremely excited for the many rpgs releasing next year.
Steam sale pickups: Super Street Fighter IV Arcade, Metro LL season pass, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, FC3: Blood Dragon, and The Witcher 2 because why the hell not. Hoping for a heft discount.on the Shadow Warrior remake.
Anyone.play Fez? It's only 2.50 but giving money to a bitchy nerd like Phil Fish kind of puts me off getting it.

The Shadow Warrior reboot was down to like 15 bux yesterday, so I got it. Basically I'm happy if he says "How's that for Kung Fu fighting, chickenshit?", but the reviews are surprisingly good, so we'll see. Maybe I have ten minutes tonight.

Re: The Bill's Now Playing Video Game Thread (Now with Bames
I went hog wild with Castlevania: Whatever of Sorrow (and a good amount of New Super Mario 2). I then played Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and it burnt me right out. I should not have played two Metrovania style Castlevania games back to back like that. So, I haven't touched the little fellow since then. Here's hoping Zelda brings back the love... and doesn't get me divorced or fired in the process.Pisscubes wrote:I hope you dig it as much as I do, dude. I've only got about 3 dungeons left which ensaddens me. This is BY FAR the most time I've spent on my 3Ds.

Wow! Okay. I've never liked 3-D. Not in films and not with video games. I've been open to the 3DS's no glasses take on 3-D, and kept it on when playing New Mario 2, but it just seems like a silly thing mostly. Zelda, man! Game changer! This looks awesome.

I actually finished it last night. probably top 5 of the year. I have basically only one complaint- stop telling me to turn the game off, you stupid fucking weathervanes.
if there's anybody in the world who'd be fucking unobservant enough to actually damage themselves with trap-soap I guess it'd be the guy with dialup in 2007

's pretty fun so far, but reviews say it's 16 hours, and I don't see it being fun for that long. I've also already spent entirely too much time wandering around trying to figure out where to go.spacehamster wrote:The Shadow Warrior reboot was down to like 15 bux yesterday, so I got it.

Yeah, hopefully all the abilities you unlock will keep it interesting. It's just that so far there doesn't seem to be too much to the melee except running up to a bad guy and flailing the sword around wildly, hoping for a combo bonus. But they certainly got the general tone and feel right, so I'll hang in there.

Haha and slower install times! A shame they thought a Kinect focus was a good idea because Killer Instinct looks fucking awesome. Ryse looks like dumb fun too.

I'd laugh about the xbox one but I'd eagerly, hungrily blow a hundred wormy boners for a couple new ps4 games right about now.

It's well documented I was vocal in my towards reaction to the E3 bullshit. Seeing reports though of Xbone and Xbone games responding and reacting to players cursing has changed my position. That's too much encroachment with IRL.riley-o wrote:Even forgetting all the taken back bullshit of last year's E3, it's still $100 more for inferior hardwareWang Mandu wrote:No one here got an Xbox One?
