Ok so some hacking multi play ramped up the fun a bit. First time the cops shot me before I could kill the hacker, second time I hacked and it was surprisingly tense fun hide and seek which I won. Then I flushed out someone trying to hack me, chased them down after they crashed and shot them to death. Unfortunately their corpse disappeared before I could humiliate it.

Any chance some of that will get patched? I'm unfamiliar with Ubisoft's track record on things like this.
Strider running at 60 fps is vastly noticeable compared to other games that I've tried 30 vs 60. It's like silk now.
Battlefield 4. It's typical COD style isn't winning me over and even though it's technically great looking I find it visually boring (aside from when there's a ton of birds or garbage flying around). I got it cheap just as an eye candy sort of thing, but Tomb & Wolf are superior. Lucky it's short enough, & I'll bum rush it so I can get back to Wolfenstein.

They'll patch a few things, realize the game didn't sell as much as they hoped it would and probably never will, then drop it like a hot potato and leave a lot of major issues unfixed, throwing the next half-finished game at the wall and hoping it sticks. The Bill wrote:Any chance some of that will get patched? The window reflections are pure clown shoes I must say, but the water from the hydrant going through cars like that is some Big Rigs Over the Road Racing level ineptitude.Spooky Apparition wrote:'fastest selling game in Ubisoft history' according to them.spacehamster wrote:realize the game didn't sell as much as they hoped it would

Translation: No really guis, everyone's buying this game and you need to get it to. Please? For the children?Spooky Apparition wrote:'fastest selling game in Ubisoft history' according to them.spacehamster wrote:realize the game didn't sell as much as they hoped it would
I dunno. Maybe I'm being overly negative because the way they just abandoned Splinter Cell Blacklist still bugs me, but it seems more and more like Ubisoft is where good ideas go to die.

Their laziness has spread into their own franchise? Fuck them. I hope Tiger Electronic buys the rights to all their stuff and releases Borderlands 3 on one of those hand held toys only.RY4N wrote:they announced a new borderlands game thats not even being released on next gen

Re: The Bill's Now Playing Video Game Thread (Now with Bames
That's exactly my impression, yeah. I watched the I*N review, and it was hilarious how the guy was obviously lukewarm about this stuff and most everything else, and then gave it like an 8.5 or whatever it was anyway because $$$. If the uber-shills can't even hide their indifference, it really can't be a very good game.Pisscubes wrote: I haven't played it but no one seems very taken with it, even the people who gave it a decent review. The biggest problem seems to be that they billed it as this great new idea where you're in control of everything via technology, but the reviews make it sound like those parts of the game are a lot more simple, "Push X to win" type of things.
That reminds me, I still have that sitting on my HD from a Steam sale. Prolly smarter to just play that than waste my time with Watchdogs reviews. It looks like a much less interesting Sleeping Dogs.

I read Spacehamster as Spymaster and it reminded me of the DC MMO game that's free on the PS4. Real stupid question here, but I just need to know. Can this be played single player? And is it any good? PS4 version?

I'm shocked by two things:Pisscubes wrote:The biggest problem seems to be that they billed it as this great new idea where you're in control of everything via technology, but the reviews make it sound like those parts of the game are a lot more simple, "Push X to win" type of things.
1) that people thought hacking in a AAA action game would be genuinely interesting and good enough to base the game around it.
2) that people thought Ubisoft of all companies would be able to pull it off.
also, I can't remember a AAA game in recent memory where I knew less about the character/story than Watch Dogs. that said... I'll probably still try it out when it's cheaper. if nothing else it looks like the city is decent enough, even though I've heard tell that it failed my Chi City trueness test and there's a lot of distinctly non-Chicago filler.

Well, what 360 game did anything other than have better graphics than the original XBOX, either?Pisscubes wrote: next gen-y, you know? Thus far I haven't seen one new game on the new consoles that do anything other than have better graphics than the old machines.

Totally forgot I had bought this for a few bucks ages ago, been playing the past couple of days and it's pretty great. Does a whole lot of different things and does them well.Pisscubes wrote:It looks like a much less interesting Sleeping Dogs.

god those back to back parts at 2:10 are too good
I think the most damning part is at 5:15 when the guy runs through the building just meleeing everybody. is he playing on easy or is the game actually that easy to break??

yeah but i mean the best stuff you can ever really do in open world games is completely exploit bugs and weird aspects of the gameplay. it's not a great game but you can play it in ways you're not really supposed to and that's fantastic.FVBTVS wrote:this is so funny

I take back what I said about Battlefield 4 being boring looking, good stuff after you get done with that early hotel level.
