reveal was just thrown in out of nowhere. I don't even care, shit is happening and moving quickly, and it's about damn time. I've been so trained by watching this show over the years that an episode as eventful as last week's will probably be followed-up with something much slower and more boring, and I was pleasantly surprised. What also surprised me last night was how good Emilia Clarke was in those scenes with Jorah. When she's not forced to act like an emotionless robot, she's a pretty awesome actress!

Arya's wolf, Nymeria, has been on the run since she attacked Joffrey back in Season 1. Ned had to execute Sansa's wolf, Lady, as retribution for the attack on Joffrey, but Nymeria has never been seen since.

it hit all the right notes and gave a truly meaningful sendoff to a beloved character in hodor. I'm even liking the jorah shit now...when he confessed love to dragon girl it was the best she's ever acted. fucking love this season

Since it's the explanation for his name, though, I'm gonna go ahead and guess it came from GRRM. I seriously doubt the showrunners would have the hubris to invent something like this on their own.

I like the idea that Hodor is Hodor because he had a traumatic seizure as a kid where he saw himself get torn apart by totally-not-zombies, but I have to agree it's not a great way for the guy to die because there's just nothing heroic about it. Bran just sacrificed him to save his own ass, that's all.

if anything, it's not dismissive...it takes him out of lovable goof territory and puts him importantly into the storyline
