Maybe the creators were being honest with themselves and realized that they didn't have enough (any) distinct ideas to tell another story. They already lifted all they could lift and were out of ways to re-skin things. If S1 felt derivative, and anthology S2 could have ended up being criminally so. But yeah, the recycling from S1 to S2 is just grating (based on the first half of S2).
I had watched this video and idiotically treated it like a meaningful document, even though I knew better thanks to the RLM parodies and the unapologetic fawning:
middle-aged teenager lyfe
good thing I'll be dead soon, cause I'm tired of liars winning
I tried to substantiate the claim that she was dubbed "sexiest" anything and it's all people freaking out about it - basically no trace of the inciting event...

mindhunter 6/10 the balls on stuff that sets out to gobble like 50 hours of your time... maybe present one compelling season before you subject us to all your long-term horseshit

gave up after 3 episodes.
was hoping for a long-form Zodiac and instead got a Dollar Tree Hannibal.
yeah but once you strip away the art direction, the gonzo set pieces, and the enjoyably bonkers performances that made Hannibal work so well, all you have are bland cop show archetypes and grocery store paperback psychology.
i also maxed-out on serial killers, so don't mind me.

I wish I had. sweaty adores this stuff so I put in my time. the show devolved into a cycle of (1) interview killer and jump to some far-reaching conclusion about the psychology of killers, (2) use that new "rule" to solve a podunk case...

Really? That's what I imagine that Criminal Minds show to be. Forget it. Thought I had something new to watch.
so hannibal is legit good and worth watching? After subjecting myself to both the leftovers and stranger things I need something that isn't completely god-awful, lest my faith in television shows be destroyed forever

yes definitely. you just need to get through the first season and somewhere in the 2nd it turns into one of the best shows ever made.

mediocre fan-fiction at best. i know everyone despised the Punk Vacation episode, but at least that brought something to the sandbox other than more Namblin Entertainment memorabilia.
can't help but think this show is gonna end up being the baby horror version of Heroes; a mildly intriguing first season that ends up licking its own ass for a few years before everyone just gives up.
The fall off from Heroes S1 to S2 was astounding. Stranger Things does scratch my itch though I'll be honest. IMO the most disappointing thing about S2 was that Hopper didn't get to punch anyone.
I didn't think this was a complete disaster, just kind of disjointed and... well, mostly just boring. I don't know why I was excited for this second season, really, with hindsight I knew at the end of the first that this needed to be a self-contained story and didn't lend itself to a sequel. The cast and the music are unfuckwithable, though.

just watched the 1st episode of Hannibal and I'm already on board just because the one dude from the kids in the hall was in it. Hahaha holy shit that came out of nowhere
stranger things S2 5/10 what a waste. almost everything good about this show was either sidelined or recycled and thus nullified. the demogorgon isn't that cool or interesting - S1 was at its lamest when you actually saw the thing. things are wrong when steve is your favorite character. probably done with this show. if they'd tried anthology it would have gone worse than true detective S2.
the short circuit 2 part was pretty fun except the punks were distractingly fake. sweaty said they were like if rock band characters came to life. still less bad than the rest of the season (outside the first few episodes)
this was worse than mindhunter for the record

Kind of hope the dimension traveling alien just swallows the whole fucking town because I'm not sure I'll be able to watch a third season.
this is pretty spot on.

American Horror Story: The Cult (1/10) Have I been bored, annoyed, insulted, and/or just completely let down by TV show these last few years? Yes. Have I actually been angered to the point of talking to it? No, not till now. Cancel this show, please, I'm masochistic enough to watch another season.
