I bet one or two might hate the wire more now though, or maybe not even waste their time

win/win

Me and the old lady finished up Sons of Anarchy. Some of the corniest dialogue of any show, also some of the worst music i've ever heard. How do you fuck up a series about outlaw bikers? Pretty boys in white sneakers, gay music to start and end EVERY episode and mandatory choreographed chase scene in EVERY episode. Girl bikes too. 1/10

Before that we watched the entire run of Sopranos for maybe the 5th time. Always a solid 10/10. Will never be topped, although The Wire came close.

The Americans season 1-4 - 5.5/10

I'm not fully sold on this show. There's way too many scenes in the same handful of interior locations with variations of the same conversations between the same people, and I generally never feel like there's real stakes and suspense. I hate Noah Emmerich's stupid pock-marked face. The show would probably benefit if it were tightened to 10-episode seasons.

Cobra Kai S1 - 9/10

Did basically everything right. Having heard only good things going in, I was still stunned at how good it was. Already can’t wait for S2, although I thought the cliffhanger at the end was the worst part about the whole season.

wild wild country 8/10 this netflix doc series is about the oregon cult my aunt was in - happy to elaborate if anyone else watched this. pretty solid documentary regardless: plenty of absolutely unbelievable shit, but weirdly unbalanced regarding action vs beliefs. still... definitely worth a look! orgy footage thankfully did not feature my aunt. and I was looking.

The Sinner - Not actually completely done with it, but I’m getting heavy Fire Walk with Me vibes towards the end here. Not wacky Lynch stuff, sex & drugs Lynch stuff.

Jessica Jones S2 - 5

Oof! The quality of characters not named Jessica Jones just tanked compared to the first season. And the main villain especially. From gold to garbage. This has me really worried about the second season of the Punisher now.
