I like having an oven but between the crock pot, air fryer, instant pot... fuckin, why bother? It's a fair question!

and if I got/get/gitted a convection toaster oven you better fuckin believe I'd rip out the oven and replace it with something useful like one of those popcorn maker carts (jkjkjk, you know your boy's already got the original Whirley Pop up in this bitch)

We definitely don't resent you for not keeping us updated on your home appliances. Also I'm not familiar - I just learned about air fryers earlier this year.

Been seriously considering one - I do most of the cooking in our house, and the other residents have started to muse about how much olive oil I'm pumping into their bodies.

I assumed everybody (that has an oven) has been baking like crazy.
We have gone through a few pounds of flour, and there's almost never any yeast at the store.

I wonder if any advertising agencies have ever researched if they could find a way to market disease and parasites as weight loss products.

Necrometer wrote: Sun Mar 29, 2020 12:34 pmI saw some infuriating tweet along the lines of "homemade masks are the pulling out of covid protection" and all the scientists and doctors were high-fiving each other over the brilliant condescension while I just silently rage-responded in my head "you mean that, while not ideal, they're actually quite effective, and a shitload better than doing nothing at all"
still angry about this - wish I could find this fucking tweet. it's probably been deleted.

Gloves, mask, sanitizing all surfaces and quarantining objects... until there's significant scientific consensus which would direct otherwise.

I feel like people are starting to get sloppy now that the scenario isn't as novel, and they've spent enough time without serious consequence... not because the situation (or information) has actually changed.

it's just great:
- everyone got terrified into doing stuff that would prevent a nightmare scenario
- people generally did the stuff, no nightmare scenario
- people angrily ask BUT WHERE IS THE NIGHTMARE SCENARIO WE WERE WARNED ABOUT?

I just upgraded my shitty cheap basket one with a full on countertop one and it's the best shit ever. it's so fast and things come out so well
