It was great and had a Twin Peaks connection if you dig.The Real MPD wrote: ↑Thu Jun 08, 2017 2:45 amtonights episode did destroy/crush
X2
Never got around to re-watching season 1 and now I forgot about season 2. I asked my wife, "What's familiar about this deaf guy? Was he in a previous season?" Will this all happen again with season 4?

S1 might be the best TV I've ever seen. I really wasn't expecting to experience something that would stick with me like that.kevin hash wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2020 2:09 amIt only took me five fucking years to get around to it. I started season 2 last night but it was pretty late and I wasn't getting it. The diner shooting was pretty awesome.
Season 1 will be tough to beat. But I trust you brother.

It’s going to be about personal taste. I think 1 is the more realistic, but 2 the crazier. 3 is the weakest, though. Be warned, I think it’s worth it in the end, but it was a slow burn to get there.kevin hash wrote: ↑Thu Jul 09, 2020 8:37 amI started season 2 last night but it was pretty late and I wasn't getting it. I was actually under the impression a 4th was supposed to come out this year. Maybe I’m confused or maybe it was corona delayed.

Corona delayed. I seriously love that show and purposely deprive myself of rewatching since it came out just so I can forget everything. I honestly truly don't think I've seen any TV better than season 2, though

Re: fargo (series)
Season 3 episode 1 was so boring I fell asleep 20 mins in.
I like slow burn story telling for the most part but there HAS to be a hook to lure me in.

Re: fargo (series)
Keep with it. There's an episode that basically recreates the train robbery scene from the assassination of Jesse James that just fucking slays. Its not nearly as great as the first 2 but its worth the watch for sure

Re: fargo (series)
I don’t know for sure (obviously, since I had no part in the making of the show), but I think the 3rd “flounders” for awhile because they were more worried with making the dual Ewen McGreogor stuff work from a technical stand point. Once that shit is finalized and sorted it fell back into proper Fargo form. I think it shows that while Fargo is great at being outside the box, one still needs to learn one’s limitations. And with THAT being said, I see season 4 stars Chris Rock. I have nothing against him as a comedian, but Fargo is way more dimensional than Pootie Tang humor. Has the man ever attempted anything close to serious? This may well be their biggest risk.ghost boner wrote: ↑Sun Jul 12, 2020 5:12 pm Keep with it. Are you suggesting the character of Pookie the crackhead doesn’t belong in the pantheon of dramatic rolls?

I like 4 thus far. Has a different overall structure from the first 3, but definitely Fargo.

Re: fargo (series)
Season 3 was my least favorite of the 3 but it still had some great moments and characters - V.M. Varga, Stuhlbarg's character, Winstead, Coon, and Ray Wise - all that shit was great. But I did not really like either of MacGregor's characters and his stories kind of took away from everything else. I haven't started Season 4 yet; probably going to wait until 4 or 5 have aired so I can watch 1 or 2 per night. Cast looks stacked.
