Our neighbor (9) always rings our doorbell to play with our daughter (6). The other day she made up some bullshit story about seeing a man wearing dark clothes in the bushes and he may have had a gun. This scared the shit out of our son (10) and made him think it wasn't safe to go outside in our neighborhood. Now we don't let our daughter play with her anymore but our daughter is pissed off at us because she doesn't understand that this little girl is shitty and a bad influence. We told her mom and she just said "she thinks she sees something sometimes, I'm sorry it scared your kids." But she still allows her to go to our house. It's just annoying and frustrating. The mom is great but she is kind of clueless about the problems her daughter has.

I'm remembering something that happened to me a number of years ago. I was out and about and some woman who was a passing acquaintance kept insisting she had seen me making out with some woman. I had no idea where or who she was talking about. She kept insisting I was lying and becoming more and more indignant that I was just not admiting I had been swapping spit with this mystery female. I didn't know what I should be more annoyed or enraged by. The fact that there was some doppelgänger of me out there getting lucky while I'm experience geological expanses of time with dry dick or the fact this person who I barely know kept insisting I was a liar and playing some stupid game with her.
