Ulcerate - Everything is Fire. I love this album. It's one of my top favorite Willowtip releases and it shits all over that Gorod.

Yeah, it is. Really cool record.

RE: Tribulation, they're okay IMO but I first heard about them by catching an earlier song of theirs on internet radio - Wes Weaver's Rice radio show. I don't know what EP/demo/whatever that song was on...it was better than this new LP, IMO.

Bonesaw from Scotland. shivery Autopsy harmonies and ravenous vocals. they manage to edge out Abscess on the split, which is pretty impressive as it's some of Abscess' best. New full length soon.

their myspace doesn't have their best tracks (smack zombie and necrosexual) but you won't be worse for hearing it.

Depending on your tastes in death metal you may like any of the following released in the past year or two;

Deathevokation "The Chalice Of Ages" (early Swedish/Dutch flavored death metal)

Revolting "Dreadful Pleasures" (early Swedish/American flavored death metal)

Abominable Putridity "In the End of Human Existence" (Devourment-style brutal death metal)

Asphyx "Death The Brutal Way" (Asphyx... duh)

Cephalectomy "The Dream Cycle Mythos" (early-Kataklysm style chaotic death metal, new one comes out on Friday)

Cephalotripsy "Uterovaginal Insertion of Extirpated Anomalies" (Devourment played at half speed)

Copremesis "Muay Thai Ladyboys" (seriously awesome brutal death metal... hi Paulo!)

Decrepit Birth "Diminishing Between Worlds" (Death-style death metal)

Destroying Divinity "Hell Unleashed" (a few years old but still awesome dark death metal, for fans of Incantation, Immolation, Nile & Morbid Angel)

Goatwhore "Carving Out The Eyes Of God" (blackened death thrash kind of like Celtic Frost meets The Crown)

Gruesome Stuff Relish "Horror Rises From The Tomb" (old school death metal in the vein of early Carcass, Impetigo, Repulsion and Autopsy)

Hooded Menace "Fulfill The Curse" (death/doom)

Impureza "Inquisition Demos" (Incantation/Immolation/Nile-style death metal)

Mandatory "Curse Of The Undead" (old school death metal ie. Obituary, Entombed, Dismember, Bolt Thrower, Grave, etc)

Necrovation "Breed Deadness Blood" (old school Swedish death metal fused with Incantation)

Severed Savior "Serville Insurrection" (brutal technical death metal)

Tardy Brothers "Bloodline" (it's Obituary playing death / hard rock... catchy)

Ulcerate "Everything Is Fire" (Immolation/Gorguts/Crowpath wrapped into a ball of hate)

Zombie Death Stench "Here I Die... Zombified" (blackened death metal / twisted horror movie soundtrack... it's on Will Rahmer's label, but is still pretty good regardless)

I'm probably forgetting a bunch but that's what's coming to mind at the moment.

new putrid pile (i like them better Live than on cd but u guys may like it)
also Down From the Wound just put up a cover of Disgorge "Atonement" on their myspace,it's actualy Realy good!

other than that, nothing. bc srsly death metal's not n e better than it was in the 90's (duh) and is probably a lot worse than it ever has been. there's so many bands, countless myspace pages and they all have thousands of fans like it seems like it's more like a social circle than a music scene ppl just support bands that they r friends with and dnt seem to care wther or not the music Sucks,no offense but i wouldnt touch most of the bands recommended here so far with a 10 foot pole, too often the bands that deserve the credit get overlooked!

that masachist record sounds great... need to hear more shit like that. was never really much of a decapitated or vader fan but they're onto something.

for recent dm albums, i can't think of anything that really jumps out at me like that last hour of penance or severed savior. that fleshgod apocalypse is good but it just kind of reminds me to listen to hour of penance.

i listened to hate eternal's conquering the throne and that's still one of the best brutal death metal air guitar records ever. killer riffs and harmonies nonstop.

where the fuck is the next "inexorable" ?

What's wrong with Dead Congregation? Anyway, Gortal - Blastphemous Sindecade has been kicking my ass lately. I've never heard of a band that made up dumber names than these guys... Ever... but the music is seriously awesome. Total Morbid Angel worship, Brazilian style Polish death metal. Also, the new Behemoth is insane. Fuck you guys.
