i called from work

i hope they don't list what that number is for on the phone bill

"okay staff, someone from this store called a gamestop in florida. i don't even know where to start with what's wrong with this... i think the most disappointing part is that someone here thought it would be acceptable to call a gamestop in florida from work..."

actual conversation:

"hey, are you guys going to be open at midnight tonight?"

"nba????"

"actually it's another game. i'm just wondering if i can pick that up tonight if you're open."

"oh. actually i'm not sure? can you call back at 9:00???"

"yeah, no problem."

weird.

but my gamestop also gave me conflicting info and now apparently they're NOT going to be open tonight :(

A gem of sublime darkness. In the same way that an infamous ring did poison the soul of the one wearing it, this game becomes both the burden and the treasure of the one playing it. Cruel, even more so than its predecessor from which it keeps almost everything, Dark Souls offers a singular atmosphere, one where the player is prey, gambles its life with each step he dares to take, and its sanity every time he makes progress towards more evil that can kill him in a single strike. If you feel crazy enough to dive in, though, Dark Souls will possess you like very few can: it's a drug, and it's in the poison it exudes that lies its virtue.

the manual in the first one was hilarious because it was like 10 pages of pictures of shit, nothing useful. just one more random cockslap from the devs

love it

My gamestop was sending messages about a midnight release too but when I called they said there was some error in the system and it sent out the messages despite them not doing a midnight release. Something about them not reserving enough copies or something.

It comes out here on the 6th....I look forward to your sage like advice getting me through again and following the evolution of Riley through your first playthrough.

Are you PS3ing or 360ing first time through?

PS3

I'm already learning things through death.

I did manage to kill the first "boss" on my first try.

Protip: Don't try to kill him at first...that's all I'll say for now.

gaahhhh, i need to get my work done and go get this ASAP. jake, what kind of build do you have, and does it work well? picking a crap class and having to start over a few hours later is one frustration i think i could do without this time around.
