It's weird that I like John Schneider. He keeps pumping out green screen straight to video movies with no shame at all. He put out TWO Smokey and The Bandit ripoffs (Stand on It and Poker Run) - with himself as 'The Bandit,' but didn't bother including any stunts that made the originals great. His 9 directing credits since 2016 average 3.6/10 on IMDB, not including the one that wasn't rated.

If a person wants to understand US politics, all they have to do is watch 90s wrestling from all 3 US outfits at the time: it's all run by the same people, the difference is no one in the US who buys into our political narratives as being real at face value seems to understand that kayfabe doesn't end at the wrestling ring ropes.

I truly believe that our political class (specifically Edward Bernays) realized early in the 20th century that the same people who showed up to vote also overwhelmingly watched wrestling, had their favorites, and honestly thought the matches and heat between performers was real (and shit, sometimes they were). Once you realize that a smart mark still pays the entrance fee, and that most folks are just marks, not smart marks, American politics becomes almost simplistic to see through.
