it wasn't blockbuster shit but it had some semblance of an arch to it even though it was basically outside the scope of the greater story. it worked as a small one act with a little conflict or whatever. i thought that girls acting sucks too but you saw it got better over the course of the episode. and daryl drunk was kind of a first..? unreservedly mean. hey, it's a shitty show with one superior episode compared to the other 4 we've seen thus far of this HALF of the season..?

also this shit gets by most of the time utilizing very little visual storytelling and tends to just be a lot of blathering in the woods with meandering exposition. and for one of those episodes with a lot of that it worked better than the others imo

i couldn't get 10 minutes into the following :awesome:

I think what's even sadder than you people still watching this abomination of a television show is that you voluntarily watch and listen to Chris Hardwicks punchworthy face spew words at you afterword. I can't believe there are people who actually pay to see that guy try to be funny. He is one of the worst people in media.

also, i think if this show were set anywhere else i probably would've lost interest much much easier but the fact its set in georgia and filmed in georgia(?) and it makes good use of those labyrinthine jungle expanses of the south. makes me miss all that stuff

didn't he pull the map down off the wall in that clubhouse and realize where that house was, and knew what would be in it (the still)? he'd definitely been there in any case. regardless, the geography of the show is still dumb, DUMB. and the symbolism behind destroying the house + the middle fingers + the mountain goats was like TWD meets Zach Braff.

crypto, I was watching and saw them mention this as the first two-character episode on the talking dead solely because I saw JB Smoove was going to be a guest. and he was definitely more entertaining in the 10-15 minutes I watched than the actual episode

I have said before I am a bit of a zombie genre tragic. I just watched City of the Living Dead last weekend, and recently I rewatched the later Romero movies Land, Document and Survial if the dead. I also watched some of the 70's one like Burial Ground, Zombie Flesh Eaters and Apocalypse.

You guys have the bar set too high - you're comparing walking dead to Game of Thrones or True Detective.

It's like comparing the above mentioned video nasties to The Godfather.

The Walking Dead has established itself as an average tv drama set against the backdrop of a zombie holocaust - expecting it to be more than it is - it has continually been bitched about the whole time and yet it still out rates True Detective and Game of Thrones.

I enjoyed that episode just fine - if I compare Beth's role to Skylar White she sucks - but if I compare it to Asia Argento's character in Land of the Dead, Beth is like Meryl fuckin Streep.

I have low expectations and am happy.

I *THINK* Zombi 2 going by the follow up comment on the shark must be Zombie Apocalypse here - As that's the one on the island where the zombie attacks the shark - I believe it was a tiger shark.

The Dr's name....ummmm - Dr Maynard or something like that...

Hey, at least she looks good in those jeans...

I'm gonna laugh when they cast Danny Trejo as the Saint of Killers.

When I saw what characters the episode would focus on I thought this was going to be the worst episode of the season (series?) but ended up being one of the best.

Some people could be given a beer a joint while getting a headjob and still find a way to complain.

It's Carol, Tyreece, two annoying kids and a baby - The outcome couldn't have been any better than this.
