i have almost everything cartridge-based with my Roms (nes/genesis/snes/game gear/etc.) on my computer, so i should have said that to begin with.Hunter wrote:While it's a genesis game, I recommend to every one Gunstar Heroes. I have heard that it's coming to XBLA soon, so it might be worth the wait for multiplayer, since the Wii VC hasn't supplied it yet.guardianoftheblind wrote:just beat a link to the past......again. love it.
gimme another NES/SNES game to tackle
ActRaiser is definitely worth grabbing. Necrometer put me on to this. Can't thank him enough.
Super Metroid: Duh.
Dynamite Headdy - another Genesis game I hadn't played, but definitely unique and fun. Along with Gunstar Heroes, it's another Treasure game that probably never got the attention it deserved.
Earthbound - One of the best RPG's I've played from the mid 90's, but I can't say how it's lasted the test of time since nostalgia gets in the way. This won't see a VC release due to the music in the game. Nintendo could face lawsuits from any number of bands sampled in the score, supposedly. It's a shame really. I'd like to see it's other japanese sequels make it state side, eventually. Mother 3 has an english language translation available in an emulated form, however.
gunstar heroes - played it; rules
super metroid - beat it; rules
dynamite headdy - think i played this on some sega genesis collection i had back in the day. should give it another spin
earthbound - never played through it's entirety. i always played the prologue or whatever you may want to call it, but nothing past that
everyone else here should play Phantasy Star IV and see why it might be my favorite game ever
