I think the movie has every chance of being extremely fun. I don't understand aligning it with AvP shit movies as if they had some bearing on what this will be.

I guess there's zillions of spoilery things in some clips they've released... I guess I have been exposed to notions of these things but I have not seen them... and I am really pumped.

Mortis Goatee, I respect your cynicism on this one but it looks like this movie will have everything I could hope for... Just because the ingredients are there doesn't mean the cake will come out, though. I'm eager to find out.

Return of the Living Dead is sheer awesome.

However Ross, to lay your writer's worries to rest (or possibly agitate them more) I've learned from a dozen screenwriting books that no matter how great/terrible/mediocre a script may be the higher up's are going to fuck with it regardless. Pretty much everyone of those books ends with "congrats! you finished and sold a screenplay! Now just cash your check and run because they're going to rip that thing to shreds."
