i think this might be the best show ive ever seen

yeah first time. i started it way way back when it first aired but then i had to move out of where i was living and lost my hbo etc.

the gimp with the lame leg and the doc dancing. doc in general. the preacher. everything.

i seriously cant wait to finish and start it all over again already

Something to consider. Just stick with season 1. 2 & 3 are no where near its greatness , with 3 cliffhangering with no resolution.

I think I already admitted to watching the first season of this ghastly show in a "just let it bleed onto my desk" stupor a la copstache in neckbeard's sig

the second season is now upon us and I recently made the sad realization that it's the most likely thing for both sweaty and me to agree to watch, so we're running through it pretty fast. she watches it more for nostalgia; I watch it more for The Room style how can this be happening accidental comedy. it's surreal and crypto-xian and laced with gay panic. and I think they literally wrote a script for the (in-studio) audience, because their reactions are so unified and well-defined as "wooo", [applause], "boo", "awww", "whuuuuh?", "ohhhh". one scene is set on an in-show live daytime TV show, and when a character who was tragically absent from the in-show show makes it back to the show, it's a surprise and a relief to the in-show show's audience, but the fuller house audience already knew that things would be OK. yet that moment gets fervent applause from the fuller house audience... so they're essentially performing as the in-show show's audience. it's insane. also at one point stamos stares into the camera and begs the olsen twins to make an appearance

Ash vs. Evil Dead: Season 2 - 8.75/10 - That ending was kinda ehhh.

Yeah, went to the internet to verify all this. Part of me is disappointed in her, but that show is so goddamn lame that her cans can be filled with curdled eggnog from 1986 and still be the only reason that my atoms don't revolt and rearrange me into a nightstand or laundry basket in order to avoid the horror. I'm also disturbed that it IS filmed in front of a live studio audience. The way they carry on I swore it was just an audio insert to recreate that old sitcom feel. Who are these people reacting in this way? Maybe Jodie Sweetin shares her meth with them before each show.

when I was writing that post yesterday I read a bunch of "live taping reports" from audience members. I'm even more confused - I guess the tapings last like 5+ hours. and they have to wait in line for hours before it even begins. I'd never really processed this since it's true of any show with a live studio audience, but they have to watch content in random order, possibly seeing the season finale before seeing any other part of the season. the people are kept entertained by a career audience hype man who is a comedian/juggler that does everything possible to keep them awake. most of the shit on this show is not funny on the first take - imagine trying to force laughter on the seventh take after the kid actors repeatedly flub their lines

Why the hell are you guys even fucking around with this show again? Was there a promised nip slip or something?

Fuller House S02 - 6.5/10

I went to see what I said about Fuller House S01 but apparently I didn't ?? Which is weird. Pretty much every episode had a couple good laffs in both seasons, but the first season was constructed better. The middle son is seriously the gayest kid I've ever seen in my life so it was extra funny when they introduced a female love interest like anybody on the entire planet is buying it.

Anyway, all criticisms of the show are totally valid and I can see how people would hate it but I think seeing enough of it growing up immunizes you against most of the bad stuff and leaves you only with positivity and good-hearted Christian fun.
