Are said legs ever intertwined in this? If so I may need to get this in the queue STAT.

Kill List - 9/10 really enjoyed the shit out of this one. interesting pacing, great acting, might be more of an 8.5/10 without being measured up against the other shit I've been watching in me and my gf's go-to movie genre of choice, horror. I'll say it again though, mediocre drama, comedy, etc is unwatcheable but I'll enjoy even bad horror movies on some level.

Synopsis: Its about some hired killers, and then shit gets weird.

Kidnapped - 5/10 and only for the payoff scene. I wish I'd watched the subtitled version rather than the dubbed version because man, the dubs were awful. Light sprinklings of anti-arab racism in this one. Also the opening scene was pretty cool .. hahah my xbox 360 froze about 3 seconds into the movie, and the first shot is a dude with his head in a bag with blood everywhere .. and after about 30 seconds of looking at this I'm thinking to myself 'wow, this is a bold shot ...' another 30 seconds pass until I realize its frozen. In my defence, it was a bad rip ..

Red State - ??/10 I feel asleep 20 minutes into this one or so; does it get better, should I revisit it tonight?

USA Dragon Tattoo 7.3/10 Hard to rate this redundant-yet-slightly-better shit... opening rules in a corny way and I would also love to bang out this version of Ms. Salander. Craig was too hot for that role, I think. USA.

True Grit, Coen version - 9/10

I'll have to watch this again when I'm not hunched over the drawing board barely paying attention, but I was pretty impressed. I've never read the book, so maybe I'm totally off the mark here, but I really like how the Coens actually dared to make a movie based on this that clearly takes itself more seriously than the John Wayne flick. Anyone else would've turned this into a "self-aware, post-modern" wankjob if anything. Gud stuffs.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes 8/10
Totally dug it. Was actually shocked I liked it as much as I did. Thought the part where the ape picked the cage lock was pretty iffy, though.

Final Destination 5 10/10 (on horror movie scale)
Easily the best one since the 2nd one (which makes it better than the 1st) and I actually think it topped that one (which is something, because the 2nd one fuckin ruled). Some seriously creative kills, which is of course the only reason to watch these movies. So they succeeded in topping themselves. Obviously, all of these movies have the same plot...but this one is the best out of all of them.

Apollo 18- 4/10
At first I really liked how it all looked like an old piece of surveillance moon footage from the 70's, but I got bored of it really quick and kind of wished they had just made a regular looking movie. INTENSELY boring in the beginning, I actually had to struggle to stay awake. But it picked up a little at the end and I liked the idea of it. Still not a very good flick, though.

Hostel 3 (lol) 6/10
Better than the 2nd at least. The first one was full of naked chicks, was funny and gory. The 2nd was an attempt at being "serious", so the laughs were gone and I don't think there was hardly any naked chicks in it. I think they realized the problem with the 2nd. So they added a lot more naked chicks and a *little* bit of humor, but mostly it's just your typical 80's horror formula of "A bunch of assholes that you want to see die....die". So pretty fun, basically. Nothing special, but entertaining enough.

Stakeland - 8/10
TOTALLY went under my radar because it's a vampire movie and I fucking hate vampire movies. But I watched it and was actually pleasantly surprised.
It reminded me a lot of Phantasm 2 and The Road. Very cool take on a vampire apocalypse. And the vampires were actually cool, not sparkly fags.

Dragon Tattoo - 4.5/10.

Not terrible enough to call terrible but a pretty shitty movie nonetheless. Fincher does a decent enough job I suppose but the plot, characters and dialogue are all just a notch above complete garbage. Seriously, did fucking Dean Koontz write this shit or something? Total vanilla flavored potboiler mystery with a healthy dose of "edgy" shit thrown in. I'm hating it more with every letter I type.

A 15 minute car ride full of people jizzing all over it after it finished really almost made me despise it but even after time goes on there are more and more things I ended up hating about it

Rooney Mara ass is pretty much its redemption
