Seriously, though...I have new respect for this man after going through and reading a lot of his reviews. I wish he didn't feel he had to grace us with his chinless presence, but whatever.

Ebert was a big fan of the movie River's Edge. there used to be a 3 or 4 minute clip of their old show where they review the movie. Can't find it now, which sucks, because it was real good. Ebert also wrote a quite lengthy review of the movie which was excellent and placed the movie at #8 on his list of Top 10 Movies of 1987.

I think he gets a lot of flak because he's the most famous movie critic alive, so he CAN'T be good, EVER. I mean, you're not going to agree 100% with one person on every single thing, but pre-jaw cancer, when people disagreed, they were all like "Man, FUCK Ebert. Guy is a fat piece of shit that doesn't know dick." A lot of his reviews are pretty good - even when I don't agree, he's good at explaining himself.

Though he DID give good reviews to Star Wars 1&3, Avatar, What Dreams May Come, etc...
