I didn't even mean it as an insult to female musicians, I'm just dissapointed that most women in metal bands (drummers especially) can never hold themselves up to the technical standards of their peers. I've said it before, but Gorod's female ex-drummer was a perfect example: she dumbed down the band. Then they got a guy that flew on the kit, and they instantly became better.

Someone post a vid of some tech metal band a while ago who had an awesome gal on bass, but events like that are few and far between.

I'm going to say that women often care far less about musical masturbation than men do. they are not wired to see everything as a "my dick is bigger than yours!" contest. sometimes people do things just to have fun, pass the time, console others, whatever. even if it's bad it's good somehow. my theory is that due to an excess of capacity for empathy and visible emotion, many women are not drawn toward the excessively involved lifestyle of a chronic musicaholic -- ok, yeah. so? is there some sort of competition i didnt know about? i guess i just don't see the problem with having more ideas and soul than technical bonerosity...
