The kids see a rainbow wheel in the middle of the sky. Seeing no one around to catch them, they reach up and give it a spin. There mother yells at them and tells them to get off the beach because the kids did not notice the sign saying that the beach was closed despite seeing no one else there.

A witch uses a color-spell to turn the sun into a spinning hypno-wheel. In the third panel there's a big reveal that the beach is closed to avoid just this problem as the evil witch leads her new minions away.

the two children are clearly a different race, look at their comparative skin tones. they closed the beach because they were race mixing. this comic is a commentary on apartheid.

hahahhh that is pretty good.

there's even a symbolic circular rainbow representing inclusion and togetherness of all races that the young couple was striving for

and i feel damn stupid right now for not seeing that....

that comic has decent ideas but it's too tryhard and hand-holdy to be truly special... this would be less of a problem in a pre-PBF world, but that would also prevent the comic from existing
