10 bucks? Game is worth that for sure.

I bought it new for 60 and sold it days later
Rage has me worried about the future of id. There was some real good in there. There was also some very stagnate thinking, and down right boring stuff as well. I can't tell you how much the ending disturbed me. That crap could have been the end to Quake 2.

Aight so can I play this wholly for free? Apparently Arma 2 is free now, but this looks like it's based on the original game plus an expansion called Operation Arrowhead... had you already bought the expansion prior to playing MMD?

I had never played ARMA 2 before this - I bought it on steam.

The mod is free, fwiw.

I've never been so tense playing a game in my life. Even my gf was watching me play - sitting on the edge of her seat, heh

Not nearly as bad as Mass Effect 3's ending. Not even close.

Put another 6(!) hours into Day Z last night

Grouped up w/ some SA goons and trolled pubbies on the reddit servers with our ghillie suits.

It's so easy to make people mad in this game. It's great.

Some more cool shit about the game -
  • Day/Night Cycles are 1:1. If it's 8:30PM server time, it's 8:30PM in the game
Star positions are 100% accurate to the locale - you can use this to navigate
Moon cycles are accurate. During new moon, at night, the server is almost pitch black. You will need to use flashlights/flares. There was a full moon last night - it was awesome.
    you have to eat
    you have to drink
    you have to stay warm
    you need to stay silent
you need to remain out of sight
There is no in game map - unless you find one
the map itself is HUGE - 225sq/km
there are vehicles (although they are very rare) you will have to repair them before use. This requires scouring the countryside for parts
I'm getting really good at using a topographical map after playing this

Downloaded the PC version EDIT OF SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION MAY HAVE WANTED TO MENTION THAT, MORON ASSHOLE IDIOT from Steam on a whim the other day.

Very quickly learned why PC gamers hate Ubisoft with a passion.

Any chance Aliens: Colonial Marines will have characters as great as Hudson and Apone? I guess I should just hope it doesn't have a bunch of Jersey Shore bros.

Yeah, but can you at least fly or do anything cool? This sounds like no fun. Do you get to shit? Will a fart give away your position?
