Oh, thanks for assuming I took that post personally! I just find the whole "dudebro" stereotype hilarious. Nerds getting mad and denigrating another genre and its userbase because their favorite genre isn't as popular or they scoff at it. I don't get the outrage at COD / Battlefield selling so much, it's like getting pissed Nickleback sold a ton of albums and it's not like shooters all of a sudden got popular. COD is basically the new Madden...tons of people buy that and only that game every year, this entire concept isn't exactly new.

i can't stand those fucking military shooters anymore though, and it's specifically because of their fucking fanbase. you have to play with these douche bags, otherwise you wasted $50+ on a 2 hour single player campaign. Wow... fun.

and anyone can listen to nickelback and not have to suffer their fans though. i do that with radiohead.

It's a shame none of these games ever have proper Bots. I think the Unreal Tournaments & Quake 3 were the only games with good ones.

Dark Messiah is a good game! It is rough in some areas but the combat rules. Fuck a Metacritic score, most of those xasthur fans probably can't block.

I wasn't going to do it, but between this, the pressure here to continue to be a stereotype of myself, and the low cost of $2.99 I bought it. Don't expect me to play it anytime soon, though.
