That reminds me... A buddy of mine used to be a terrible drunk (he's almost 10 years sober now). Years ago I gave him a job a couple hours a day for cash while he was down on his luck. He would ask for his money before lunch and leave for about 20 minutes before returning to finish the day, and I assumed he was slamming a couple beers to help him get through the day. One day it was too cold for him to walk, so I gave him a ride to do his lunchtime routine. I took him to the liquor store and he came out with 2 bottles of Night Train. I stopped at his house and he ran in for a minute, then came back out and we went back to work. He explained that he was putting the bottles in the freezer so they would be at maximum coldness when he got home form work. He said he goes home, grabs a bottle out of the freezer, and slams it while taking a shower. The other he sipped on all night until he passed out. This was his routine for a long time. He had figured out the maximum level and length of intoxication he could achieve for the smallest amount of money.

Even though it's been almost 10 years since the one time I briefly got to hang out with him, I can confirm that he is an awesome person.

Its ok man it's not for everyone. Just another excuse to get blasted in public. The Brier Patch was so full last night there was probably a thousand people standing outside yelling "LET uS IN. LET US IN" getting ready to riot... just imagine a bunch of old people that are given one pass a year to get fucking hammed so they take this opportunity and hit a home run. There's always some shitty 70's/80's rock band like Triumph or Chilliwack or Loveryboy on stage and by 9:00 PM everyone inside is licking the floor. It's not uncommon to see a 70 year old bucking in a garbage can.



But then occasionally at the game itself awesome things happen. You might have to understand the sport and put it in context to get why this was actually a really good thing.
