That Steam controller :mastoman: Can't wait to get my hands on one and it'll be really cool to see what the community can come up with to add to it. I also really like the buttons on the bottom of the controller.

Reading some impressions around the internet and one common complaint is, "How am I supposed to play a fighter with that?" :fp: :fp: :fp: It's like people have to have something to bitch about even if it doesn't make any sense at all.

I like how all the companies that have been making hardware for as long as anyone can remember have fallen flat on their faces with new controller designs again and again in recent years, and then Valve comes along with this, and it's like... oh yeah. That'll work.

haven't the PS4 and xbone controllers pretty much gotten universally positive feedback so far, dear sir? and people have actually held those, unlike the valve controller. not saying it won't be good of course

Possible to press 8 buttons without lifting your thumbs as opposed to the 6 or less of current controllers, haptic feedback, more prescision with the track pads than analog sticks, hackable so modders can mess with it, previously unplayable genres now playable with a controller.

It could suck but no matter what I want to try one. Finally, someone is innovating with controllers instead of slapping on a touchscreen and calling it a day.

Also, that is the beta and not a final design.

Well, the Xbone controller is basically a very slight redesign of its predecessor (with what appears to be a better d-pad, thank fuck), and I don't remember anyone saying anything about the PS4 controller other than the touchscreen's stupid, but otherwise it looks like they didn't fuck it up too badly.

Shocked, I mean SHOCKED, slight improvements on standard controllers are met with nothing but praise from the cum drinking gaming "press."

The DS4 looks awesome but fuck pre-release pr opinions.

to be fair, normal human beings have used the DS4s and said the sticks have really good feeling tension and that the analogue triggers are less mushy feeling

Saints Row IV continues to ride the line between fun and repetition, but so far it continues to sway towards the favorable. The writing keeps things funny and enjoyable for sure. I'm not talking about the overall story (it's generic as a sci-fi channel movie), but instead the characters and little touches as it goes. Much like Saints Row 3, it feels like a Troma Movie that Ivan Reitman decided to produce.

Rayman Legends can be hard as fuck. I was never a Sonic fan, so trying to run at high speeds and getting killed because I don't know the exact layout of a level frustrates me. Still a good game, but reminds of all the times in my youth I'd become super pissed at a game, and I just don't need nor want that in my life anymore.

Tomorrow is October, and I love to play games that remind me of Autumn in Autumn, so I'll put GTAV in the bank, at least until they patch it. After SR4, I'm pondering going back to the older systems for some horror/monster stuff. The Suffering... RE: Directors GC Version... Silent Hill 2 HD... Dino Crisis 2. Are Dinosaurs good Fall weather adversaries? They seem more Spring/Summer to me. I must meditate and gaze into the Infinity Well for this answer.

Speaking of PC, in the last 6 or so years, what are the best PC only titles that have come out? I'm so out of the loop. If I was to get a new PC tomorrow I'd get Amnesia: Dark Decent, Rise of the Triad, and Shadow Warrior... and that's all I can think of. Not exactly a great selling point. Bioshock: Infinite with better graphics and modding Skyrim is all well and good, but not really sealing the deal here. If anything, it makes me feel like waiting another year or two to get a PC.

Seriously, though. I ask because I've been look for games that I missed on the PC in an attempt to psych me up to buy a new one and I have played a console version of every damn game that I would have bought if I only had a PC instead of console. Steam sales and improved graphics are awesome and all, but it would be an expensive purchase for just re-playing games I've already played.

Uh-huh, I'm noticing not a single person is telling me about a PC exclusive title over here. Let me worry about spending money or configuring the FOV in the system.ini to get the original Unreal engine to play at 1080p, and all the other stuff I know exactly what to do with while being quite drunk.
