There is also the question of what members of society do we use to inflict torture. I've seen documentaries about the lives of state executioners and a lot of them end up with bad psychological problems from the stress of actually killing people, and this is something as detached from the reality of the situation as just flipping the switch for an electric chair. We don't rape rapists, what kind of person would the state employ inflict torture? I'm a dork.
In most societies wasn't this a family job? Or is that just a honky thing? Assuming that, I'd assume they'd end up with the same sort of folks that like to marry jailed serial killers

I worked with a lady who had that prisoner-rehabilitator romance gene, but it was directed at dogs. Her house was filled with huge dogs, all of whom got in trouble for biting or attacking a human. She knew that they just needed love and a good environment. She came in one day with half her face shredded permanent scars.
A one-time aide to former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was arrested this month for allegedly paying for a photo of a 6-year-old girl being sexually abused.
40-year-old Robert Lee, a Pontiac vigilante who worked to expose child predators, was fatally shot Friday night at Universal Coney Island.
The Oakland County Sheriff's Office says Lee was at Universal Coney Island on Perry Street around 10:30 p.m. Investigators say he confronted two men sitting at a table; accusing one of them of being a pedophile and punching him.
The man pulled out a knife and the other man at the table pulled out a gun and shot Lee multiple times, according to OCSO. Lee was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
There's a rapper from New York named Necro. He was pretty well-known and fairly respected in the early 2000s, and has kinda become a jugglo thing subsequently. I was fascinated by him as a teenager, and I came back to his music because the production was really extremely solid and uses sample sources I admired and wanted to emulate. I realized that over the course of his career, he had many many references to Blood Sucking Freaks - like to the point where it must be a pretty big part of his life. Clearly some kind of fixation. Had entire songs based around odd samples from the score, many lyrical allusions to characters from the movie without ever really explaining what he was talking about. Thanks for reading my blog.

I think he had connections with people at Troma? A couple guys there used to stop in the cafe I worked at and they gave me Blood Sucking Freaks and a couple other Troma VHS tapes. I have a couple Necro VHS tapes from that time, I'm not super proud to admit... But was surprised to see that Necro was in the Safdie Bros flick Good Times - I think they were friends.

Dunno about the Troma thing, wouldn't surprise me though. And yeah I thought he did a pretty good job in that movie! He certainly fits the bill, it's not like those flicks are about nice people doing charity work.
Necro has a "comedy" channel on youtube, found it by accident a few months ago. Incredibly hard to watch, impossible to look away... mega cringe. He ambles around in drug stores and parking lots making people uncomfortable
Really a one-of-a-kind human. I cant listen to anything hes made in about 20 years, but anytime a Necro interview pops up somewhere, it goes to the top of my to-do list.

There's a special subspecies of wigger who only exists in the Northeast as far as I know. You can identify them because they say "nigga" to other white guys very frequently. I never really listened to hardcore and i don't know much about the culture, so there's likely context to this that I don't understand. It's one of the funniest fucking things in the world, and every time it happens I feel like I'm seeing a rainbow. Rare and magical.
In this video (to my memory) Necro and the other guy call each other nigga 7 times in about 20 minutes. Something like that, otherwise i dont know why I had it bookmarked.

That's definitely a NYHC thing - that's Danny Diablo from Crown of Thornz, etc who was with the infamous DMS crew. A guitarist I played with was friendly with John Joseph of the Cro Mags (I never met him), so we ended up on a couple CBGBs shows with bands in this orbit. I don't remember a lot of specifics because I packed up gear as soon as we finished our set and got the fuck out of there each time. It always felt like something bad was about to happen.
