Bodies - 8.5/10

It's hard to enjoy a series where the first two-thirds are basically undone by the final third, but I think they did a good job. Some emotional beats really resonated (Whiteman and the girl), some felt kinda just there (Maplewood's whole shit), and some really felt like overlong detours (Hillinghead is REALIZING THINGS ABOUT HIMSELF and YOU MUST EXPERIENCE THIS IN REAL TIME)

Fargo season five episodes 1 and 2 10/10

This show never fails to do great fake outs. The first twenty minutes or so felt kind of cheesy and I was thinking this might be a disappointing season but then it kicks you in the teeth so fucking hard you don't know what hit you while you're spitting out your bicuspids. Jennifer Jason Leigh is almost unrecognizable.

Hell yeah can't wait.

What I love about this season is it's essentially a collage of all the previous Coen brothers movies, even taking direct scenes and quotes. So far I'm picked out "Fargo", "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" and "No Country for Old Men". (It looks like a future episode they use a Blood Simple scene.) I'm waiting for the Raising Arizona reference.

Recently finished Better Call Saul. Didn’t like it as much as BB but holy god damn shit. Odenkirk is a fuckin legend.
