I thought there were a couple of episodes this season that dragged, but last night was golden. I love that from the first second he walked into the office, the show basically turned into a David Lynch film (with the multiple secretaries, Lynch himself and the really creepy empty talk show studio).

And the stilted Twin Peaks delivery of every line of dialogue, especially from Lynch himself.

the first thing i thought when i saw lynch was "man, i hope he starts yelling like agent cole" ... obviously he didn't, but he was damn good. so fucking bizarre.

louie's agent was fucking gold this episode, despite not having any lines.

"ok, let's g-- no, leave the card!"

I dunno, I didn't think it was a standout episode or anything, just a good way to wrap up that storyline. Kinda wondering what they'll do next week, this would've been a good season ender too.

That might be my favorite single episode of Louie since the second half of the Iraq episode. I love how Todd Barry is still a dick, even when trying to cheer him up. "It's official, you suck, man!"

I dont even care about his departure from a comedy show anymore. Its just a great show and every moment keeps me fucking captivated....even if at the end, there is no payoff.

This last episode was fucking beautiful. And you know what? It was a great PR move if he ever wanted a late show.....he has the gift of gab. It wasnt that far fetched. Listen to him on Opie and Anthony....the guy can fucking riff on the fly all day.

Meh, I dunno, after the awesomeness that was the Late Night storyline, this was pretty anticlimactic. The whole panicking about the doll thing was funny, but that was about it. I really liked how this season moved away from making every episode about what a lonely sadsack Louie is, and here it's back in full swing, which basically looks like he ran out of ideas and decided to just make #13 another sadsack episode. Sure, the way it was put together was poetic in some ways (especially because new year's is at a different time in China), so it's not a shit episode or anything, just a been there, done that one.

Im not gonna complain about shit. Its refreshing as fuck compared to the billion fucking sitcoms that just slam you over the head with pathetic slap stick jokes. Its really not a comedy show anymore....just a sitcom about life. Deal with it.

Great season.

The dream sequence with his daughters all grown up had me laughing so hard I had to pause the episode.

"All he does is sit around all day by himself eating pinwheel cookies!"

It's a good show, and the fact that it's hard to pin a genre label on it is testament to that. I'm just holding it to a high standards, especially after how great some of this season was, and by Louie standards, this was a mediocre episode.
