Jesus, the flashback you just sparked in my brain. I was at a college keg party back in the 90's and I think I was saying that I though Buffy the Vampire Slayer was hot, and some tub of goo started bothering me that I must like little girls. I'm good at ignoring, but she must have persisted because I finally yelled at her that I'd rather fuck a kid then a cow, because at least a kid is the same species. NI don't recall what her reaction to me was, because my drunk friend came a rolling into the conversation shouting that Austin Powers "GET IN MY BELLY!" thing over and over at her, until she ran out of the party (crying I hope). Never saw her again, which is good after all.

men: if you prioritize your good time over womens' safety you're a misogynist. this includes 'not getting involved' in situations where men you know/play in bands with/are in bands you like are accused of rape and abuse. this includes 'he's always been cool to me'-ing men who rape and abuse women. if you are in your 30s and 40s and are dating women in their late teens and early 20s, you're a misogynist. if you are not actively doing anything to make spaces safer and more welcoming for women, you have a misogyny problem.
