nah, there's queer/feminist porn that is pretty easy to distinguish from the suicide girls type stuff I think you're referencing. you'll know it because you won't get a boner. I think the key differences are the dialing back / reining in of the male gaze and a focus on actual female pleasure vs. simulated histrionics (or histrionic simulations!?)

I'm sort of assuming that you were reading some of the comments on that article, where there's a back and forth about whether or not a dude is red-flagged for doing rapey porn scenes. I think it's reasonable and useful to be thoughtful regarding porn to the point where you puzzle out that performing in a rape scene doesn't suggest that the actor is a likely rapist. maybe this isn't what you're talking about, though...

Totally agreed. I think that's gonna take 4th wave feminism to show up or at least 3.2 or something... The discussion I hear from those that associate themselves with Third Wave seem to really be blind to a lot of problems in the porn/sex industry other than "It's empowering!".

To be fair I've never met more idiots then while I was at college. I'm pretty sure you know exactly what I'm talking about.
