It was! Up until I took a full speed ass-dive onto a bunch of gravel, anyway.

Still have my Dahon I got for free a few years ago. It does it's job perfectly for city/street biking. I've only changed the tires and brake pads once from being worn and I oil up the chain every once in a while. It's nowhere near as cool looking as the other pictures in the thread but here's a pic of a similar model anyways. I have a bungee and grate shelf over my rear tire.

I should move this post to the classified section.

I wish I could ride to work but most of the commute is highway. I hate the thought of being one of those guys holding up cars in high traffic areas where there are no bike lanes also.

Yeah, its a cheap piece of shit, but it was free. I'll look online for tutorials tonight, maybe.
I think the only money I'd put into it would be a seat, if I can fix the other stuff myself. I don't think it's going to collapse into itself any time soon, it's barely been used.

I like those bullhorn handlebar things, at least for the looks. I haven't ridden a bike in years!

I also ride a Windsor (Hour) and love it. Yeah the Iro kids frown upon them but they are solid enough for a SS/fixed. Change the parts out as needed and you are gold. I changed my cranks and stem out and changed the bars to bull horns. great commuting rig for me.
Enjoy your new ride.

That is almost exactly what I was talking about. HOWEVER. You are a pretty light guy? I think you could ride that for a number of miles and Be happy. But look down the road for an investment on new wheels, pedals and Other parts which will be somewhat cheap to replace. Those have a Nice steel frame and I see people riding on them all the time and they seem happy with it. I do know after reading lots of bike forums that the components are just meh (not even in a bike snob sense, just in a limited lifetime sense).
Bike-Hornie post.
Hey, remember that Ross I got with the decent cranks? I need to get that thing tuned up, maybe single-speeded.

I made some adjustments on my Walmart piece of shit. I still can't get below seventh, but at least seven and up work properly now. I don't know if it's bent or mounted wrong, but no amount of adjustments would make the front cage move at all. Hmm.

It's because your components are made of potmetal.

Hahaha yeah... I think my dad may have wiped out on it, because I think the whole assembly is a little bent. It's fine for now. I went through a bush today.
