And I know it sounds naive or whatever but I seriously cannot believe Michael Bay made a Benghazi movie with that guy from The Office. I felt like I was high watching that trailer

Apparently the two theories out there are that it's either that or she's Kylo Ren's sister, which makes no sense to me. She has to be related to the Skywalkers somehow because she has the Force, there's the whole thing where Luke's lightsaber is apparently calling out to her, and her entire arc so far mirrors Luke's - right down to a scene with a setting sun in the desert. So yeah, I'm going with that.

She is definitely somebody. I would bet she is Luke's daughter.
She was left on Jakku by somebody for a reason, although she clearly doesn't know it - just like Luke.
The dialogue when she first met BB8 on Jakku was pretty telling for me:
Rey: "So where do you come from?"
BB-8: "Bleep blop boop boewwweeep!"
Rey: "Classified, really? Me too, big secret."
I think it's master sniper tactics secrecy disguised as throwaway talk with an adorable ball

can anyone confirm WHO tells baby rey "stay here" during her vision? it sounded like a baddie, which makes things more interesting than if it was a concerned parent a la the skywalker twins...

BB8 was adorable
once the galactose senate is gone, who negotiates trade agreements?
adam driver was pretty good, I expected to hate him/he'd suck

That would be pretty cool too. And I guess it's possible that the obvious parallels between her and Luke's stories are red herrings. But I think the next two movies revolving around look and Han's children being mortal enemies and the respective representatives of light/dark is too sweet of a setup for that not to be the plan.

the voice when she is handed over on Jakku sounded like the guy who was dolling out portions of food for scrap and he had fat fingers like that dude too

no way it's that CGI blob guy!!! but I agree the voice sounded like his. maybe it's Snoke himself, who sounded similarly gravelly. still a CGI blob, unfortunately.
general agreement that Snoke kinda sucked and will probably continue to suck? I've heard that he's supposed to be the same guy that impregnated anakin's mom using midichlorians and that will bum me out so much if it's true. it's the inverse of if rey's the kid of a jedi. fuuuuuuck stuffy jedi celibacy and everything else from the prequels.

very close to cgi blobs voice and the fat fingers that grabbed baby Rae's hand looked like the same ones that pushed the "space food" over the counter - happy to be wrong.
I was actually relieved when he was a hologram, as giant space Leper was a bit too far in the menagerie for me.

My girlfriend and her sisters didn't like Darth Emo, but I actually did. He's kind of a shitty Sith, and I think that's on purpose. He's barely in control and he's not at all the same kind of scary bad-ass that most of the other Sith's have been. He's petulant and almost got his ass handed to him by a totally untrained newbie to the force (Yes, I know he was hurt, but still). I think Snoke is more of a conman than a Sith Lord. I think Solo was telling us the plot when he said Snoke is using you for your power to Darth Emo. I think it's evident by the proto-light saber he wields and the fact that his power seems unrefined, unfocused and not super intimidating that he hasn't been properly trained by anyone. Snoke is probably no Force user, just a Wizard of Oz figure is my guess. And I think that relationship would be far more interesting than another dark lord/apprentice one. I just really like that Darth Emo isn't this unstoppable force like Vader seemed to be. He's fragile and broken and doesn't seem to have a great handle on the Force.
I welled up a bit when I saw Chewie in the Falcon without Han. :'(
I got a few wellsprings of emotion first sitting whenever Han Chewie or Leia were onscreen - I liked tantrum Sith dude as well. There's a few funny Emo Kylo Ren Twitter accounts coming out thanks to old mate Ham Emsolo actor coming from Girls TV show

Saw it with Fuck I'm Dave yesterday. I dug it a lot, much more than I thought I was going to. That Michael Bay Benghazi movie, good fucking lord
I agree it had its flaws (many more than I could recall before reading this thread) but maybe it was just the shallow happiness of seeing all original characters together again. Either way I'm not complaining and it was $12 very well spent.
