Haha, he didn't really say that did he? Doesn't he work for some big time Wall St. firm. I may not be a fan of Nintendo but no one can deny the selling power of Mario.

I don't see how it matters that there's very little overlap. If you can make a game that costs half as much to make and will sell twice as many copies, does it matter that you're reaching a demographic that you otherwise wouldn't reach? I'm saying I don't see why the big publishers are even interested in catering to the geeks anymore if they can make more money selling shitty Wiifit games to housewives.
it matters because they can make more money appealing to both markets ? they might lose money on the occasional product but what product is that not true of ? you might as well ask why they keep making big budget movies when they sometimes fail, and they could be making exclusively low-budget comedies.

i can't believe this is confusing in any way ?

it's not.

he must not keep up with anything relating to games other than what's coming out. it's been said over and over for a few years now that third party games on the wii DO NOT sell. for every wii fit game there's 40 other games that don't sell enough to make back their million dollar budget. there's even first party nintendo games that are aiming for the most oblivious gaming demographic that do not sell.

god of war 3 had a 44 milliion dollar budget. it's guaranteed to sell 3 million copies at least. that's already got them in the black. world of warcraft makes 4 billion dollars in the us alone every year. geeks keep the gaming industry alive. otherwise it would be 1984 all over again.

I don't. I was also out of the loop for 8 years until I bought a PS3 about a year ago. I'm not trying to be argumentative here, it's just that when I picked up my first gaming console in like 10 years, I came back to a videogame market where the best selling console on the market is an outdated piece of shit that caters to people who don't like videogames.

I know. That's the point. We don't seem to be broadcasting on the same frequency today, Riley.

Wii has more 3rd party million+ sellers than the PS3 or 360 last time I checked.

In other news no one cares about:

More cuts are being discovered in Yakuza 3. A bunch of side quests in Chapters 3 and 5 are the latest. I'm sure more will be found as people play the game. Fuck, I knew I shouldn't have re-ordered it. I may have to keep it wrapped up and ebay it to some future Sega fanboy. All around a classy move by Sega.

does Gamestop really allow you to return a used game within 7 days for a full refund? I have nothing to do for the next 4 days so I went and got Heavy Rain and I'm wondering if I can beat it this weekend and take it back and get GOW3. is there any limit on this claim or can you basically rent unlimited games for 7 days with no charge?

I'm pretty sure you have to return the game unopened...

Yes, I should have known it was used, since you obviously pointed that out in your post.

they cover it with a sticker that you can't get off without leaving fucking residue on the case.

if that sticker is even tampered with they won't take it back.

He's saying that square peg can still go in square hole even if there is now triangle peg to fill triangle hole.
