then you bought tickets ? SURPRISE ! here's a bunch of shit too !
Rob Dukes is totally gonna kick your ass.
This is like talking to an internet ghost who doesn't even realize he's a ghost yet and keeps trying to talk to those around him. If you try to put a shirt on so people can recognize you I WILL PUNCH THE SHIRT INTO OBLIVION thus rendering you still a ghost. FUCK YOU, smellmyfinger
I AM MOTHER FUCKING ATTENDING THE SHIT OUT OF THIS SHIT
Seeing Church of Misery, Gates of Slumber, Cough, Hail Hornet and Dragged Into Sunlight like 2 days before this too, going to be a bitchin' week.

Fuck that. Half a bill of horseshit and corporate sponsorship still doesn't cancel out the overwhelming powre of at least half a dozen killer bands that a huge chunk of people (myself included) will probably have little to no other chance of seeing any time soon. I would watch Repulsion open for Hellyeah.

Hellyeah, from the album Hellyeah, performed by Hellyeah on Hellyeah records

Am I supposed to feel bad about seeing bands I like? Is automatically writing an event off because it involves corporate sponsorship a legitimate stance, or is it an oversimplified, essentially arbitrary position? Am I still allowed to like Magrudergrind?
I mean seriously, for fuck's sake—can someone explain to me how Scion putting on a free show filled with killer bands has a net negative impact on music, the scene, the world, anything? That's not a rhetorical question, I would really like for someone to give weight to that argument. I'm pretty ambivalent about the whole sponsorship thing, but if people feel so strongly about this, then I'm clearly missing something.

there have been a couple giant threads about this subject that were actually quite interesting and put into words those exact arguments. i'll try to look them up real quick
