Guys, help me out. I remember this music video from the 80'sthat was a baseball song that was all
errors/bloopers. It's not "Centerfield" or "Glory Days" or "Sultans of Swing". I cannot remember the song. Do you remember it?

If Dan Snyder loses his TTAB appeal and there's a simultaneous DOJ investigation on him, I'll donate my entire 2015 bonus to charity.

steven fucking matz

first mets player to have 4 rbi in his debut. and he's a pitcher. a left-handed one. sitting 95 with a plus curve.

Well the Tigers threw in the towel on this season, for the right reasons.

I guess, let's go Mets?

I love baseball more than just about anything...that said, I can see how if someone didn't grow up liking or playing it, the pace of a game can seem plodding, just really boring

but I think what makes it great, and even unique in sports, is how every moment, every pitch, is pregnant with the possibility and even expectation of something new, something unpredictable. and each game builds, or can build, to tense crescendo moments. so you get the pastoral feel of an old, slow paced game, but the excitement of building drama punctuated by individual spectacular plays/pitches/battles.

it is relaxation colliding with crisis...expectation met with release, whether deflating or exhilarating. it is the best sport

I love baseball

with caldwell and jakebonz not posting anymore... I think my prediction was 100% accurate. this is the most fun baseball season I've experienced in my life (much better than '08 when a cobbled together, huge salary roster ran away with the division). And I don't even care if the Cubs get destroyed by the Cardinals in the playoffs. Seeing four rookies in the starting lineup every day and the team now going 14-1 in their last 15 games has been incredible.

it's hard not to like Alex Rodriguez this year.

I do like him

I hope he keeps going so great...

he's clearly a hall of famer, drugs aside

I hope the Yankees make the series and he bombs off

tempering my expectations for Cubs/Pirates tomorrow night by thinking that Arrieta has to be human and pitch a less-than-flawless game at some point.

but goddamn sending the Pirates home for the winter, in front of their fans, would feel amazing.
