Hah how the fuck?! I was first in line when it came out in the theater. Pretty sure I busted a few ribs the first time, then like another three when the unrated dvd version included them pissing and shitting all over each other

Fall (6/10) Two dumb, but not bad looking bitches get stuck on a ridiculous antenna tower and disaster movie things happen. If your fetishes run vanilla and a combination of bare feet & simple cleavage does ya good, you may like it better.

I actually only just watched this one pretty recently. What's even funnier in my case is that I've had the soundtrack downloaded for a bajillion years and so I knew all the songs when they came on.

But yeah, it's good. As usual with Parker/Stone, it'd be better if they were just a tad less preoccupied with being edgy at all costs, but it's still good.

Raiders of the Lost Ark ('81) - 9/10 - My wife had never seen this somehow, so it was time for a rewatch. I can't tell if I'm blinded by nostalgia, but this flick has held up great. I then realized that the time between when the movie came out (1981) and when it took place (1936) was 45 years... and it's been 42 years since the movie was released in theaters. Kids think of the 80s the way I saw the 40s... my god.

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom ('84) - 7/10 - I consider it a classic because the the scenes scared the shit out of me when I saw it in the theater as a kid. The scene where they are being served "delicacies" seems a little weird as Indian cuisine has, to my knowledge, never included live snakes, giant bugs, and chilled monkey brains. SFX have held up surprisingly well!

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade ('89) - 8/10 - Another one I haven't seen in decades and also still holds up. I was expecting these flicks to feel more dated than they are - but then again, I have no idea what a kid who grew up with Marvel movies would think.

The Outfit ('23) - 6.5/10 - A single setting, mob-related period piece mystery with plenty of twists. Good to throw on if you're in the mood for that type of thing.

Wakanda Forever - 4/10

This might be the worst Marvel movie. It's really, really bad.

Clerks III - 4/10
Pretty forgettable, as expected. Funny how somebody with so little talent can make movie after movie.

Pop star: never stop popping - 7.8/10. Pretty excellent but the jokes were pretty spread out. I also forgot I (as an unpaid extra) got invited to be in a scene in this but it sounded dumb so I didn't do it. Kinda wish I did now, looks fun!

Nice tasteless exploitation on Jonestown made a year after the events. Great mass suicide/murder scene.

REC - 8/10 One of the better found footage horror movies

REC 2 - 6/10 I was digging it, but then the evil turned into a super villain

REC 3 - 4/10 Maybe if it didn’t have the name REC attached to it, I’d like it better, but for some reason the series turned into Dead Alive. Bad Dead Alive.

REC 4 - ???/10 Honestly, I was on my phone 90% of the time. I think there was a monkey.

I know its a kinda tired point, but I was thinking the other day that Himmler would have absolutely loved Black Panther and the idea of Wakanda. When you dive into the absolute insanity of SS anthropological/archeological research, it's clear that the past they were searching for and the future they hoped to achieve is basically identical, albeit with a different ethnic group swapped in.

Do we really need to post these timeline realizations out loud? They physically cause me pain.

I saw it in theaters when I was barely 4 years old. I think I was traumatized by the exploding/melting heads at the end. ( I don’t think my parents were expecting that in PG movie )

Then I watched The Thing on HBO when I was 5 years old and loved every second of it so I guess I got over it.

Ah man, I wish movies still hit as hard as they did when you were a kid. Aliens, Blade Runner, Akira, and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, all of that shit ruled so god damned hard. Nowadays, some films are great fun at best.
