I love Aubrey Plaza. She's great in Legion and pretty much the only watchable part of the first couple seasons of parks and rec. Curious about that lewd nun comedy she did.

I went to see Phantom Thread last night but a little over halfway through, the screen went dark and the projector fucked off. Enjoyed what I saw. I'll see the third act one day...

had genuine character and allowed scenes to breathe. Least bored I've been watching a movie in a long time. That's not saying much because I've been drinking worse than ever

I stand by my middling score but yeah it definitely sucked

I appreciate the instant home release because it lets me make fun of it instead of having to sit there, angrily silent

the filmmakers are seriously overestimating audience interest in a "Cloververse".

it was every bit as aggressively idiotic as the last couple of Alien movies, but at least those had enough decent creature FX, laughably bat-shit characters, and gonzo twists to keep me quasi-entertained.

I didn't actually watch it aside from some FFWing of a copy my friend had downloaded, but that shitty recent movie Life came to mind

incidentally, Life has WAY better reviews, which I suspect is partially due to critics being pissed that they had to do work sunday night after the superbowl with such short notice

Pleasant surprise. That main antagonist plays the same guy always though and it’s annoying and distracting.

Suicide Squad - 5 turds out of 5
I don't know what got into me thinking I should watch this piece of shit, I guess it was morbid curiosity. Bland, sterile, and dumb, it's clear that it's a product every second of the film. The one thing that sticks out from this turd is the cringey Joker and Harvey scenes, which are so unapologetically bad it's fucking hilarious. What an asshole Jared Leto must be in real life...

In Warner Brothers' latest genius move for the DCEU, they want Michael Bay to direct a Lobo movie and Joaquin Phoenix to play the joker in some joker origin movie. You can't make this shit up. I'm waiting until I can watch for free to MST3K that latest Justice League pile but holy shit @ BvS and Suicide Squad. I'm having more fun watching these dumb fuck execs torpedo their movie universe with bad decisions than I ever would watching the actual product

DC deserves this. They really do.
