Yeah I don't care, I'm DEFINITELY going to see T:DF. I love that fucking franchise so much. The trailer worked me over like an evil succubus.
All I need from it is a few good action scenes, and no hardcore douche chills... the reviews so far have been pretty mixed-to-negative, so I'm braced.

I was gonna call bullshit on rating Trick R Treat a 7.5, but then I agreed that Poltergeist was an 8.5, and there's no way Trick R Treat is better than Poltergeist.
Please bump Trick R Treat to an 8.0 and be honest with yourself, and God.
Assuming you're talking about the one from the 2000s and not the Ragman one...?

the newer one, not the Gene Simmons one. I loved the guy from Happiness playing another kid predator creep. I don't really like modern horror at all but i dug this a lot. That why I stuck with my childhood favs this season. I forgot how much Poltergeist 2 sucked.

set it off 5/10
hanna 6.5/10 this didn't age well
gemini man 0.5/2 I watched like 25 min in the middle of this because I was curious about how the HFR 3D looks (Avatar recon) and it certainly worked better than that hobbit HFR fiasco. plot-wise: they spend like half the movie with the will smith clone being a non-issue... whyyyy
parasite 9.5/10

Re: Latest movie you watched (1-10 scale)
I'm still scratching my head over this one man. I don't know how to feel about it.
It absolutely worked on me in the third act, I actually had to hold back tears during the big speech scene at the end, it really got me.
There's so much shit going on around it that I'm having a hard time thinking about it objectively, in isolation.
It owes a lot to a few other movies, it's the first rated-R movie to make a billion, it's about comic book shit (but also isnt), the hype and fear surrounding it... I'm having a really hard time figuring out how it deserves to be seen because of what it is, and not the ways in which it's a part of some other fucking story.

Re: Latest movie you watched (1-10 scale)
I fucking loved it dude, I just think it could have been a little bit restrained in some very specific parts. Overall one of the best movies I've seen in many years. in spite of all the hype I still loved it
there were very specific parts where very specific things could have been different
