"On Borrowed Time" - by David Rosenfelt I don't want to bother to rate this as it's a book for idiots and some wanted me to read it. It's one of those "a person has been erased from existence" type things. For what it is it was fun and I think it would have been better as a movie.

"The Last Thing He Wanted" - by Joan Didion 7 or 8/10. A fictionalized account of a conspiracy involving the Iran-Contra affair that explores the inner workings, motivations and circumstances of the people involved. Reminds me of DeLillio's "Libra" but much less expansive in scope and not cutting as deep (although it does have flashes of brilliance) but that might just be because I've read Libra fairly recently. This is the first book of hers I've read. Her memoir "The Year Of Magical Thinking" is supposed to absolutely devastating and I hope to check that out soon

Reading book 2 of the Alchemy Wars trilogy. The mechanical, while not my usual kinda thing, was fantastic. Book 2 is just as good, so far.

"The Savage Detectives" - by Roberto BolaƱo over all 8/10 the beginning and ending 10/10. Good but could have been about 150 -200 pages shorter. I'm debating whether to read "2666"

Make It Stick 9

Highly useful information, but I was reading off a kindle, and didn't realize soon enough that it was 90% anecdotes, 10% facts. Just skim the bold sentences and skim the back to convince yourself it's based on _science_
