that's the defense's attempt to set the stage for the murdered guy to be really rapey and dangerous - they basically needed a way to put her in a context to be terrified of him and suggest that he's capable of such an attack. this is very uncommon, as i learned from the CourtTV commentators*. clearly the defense's strategy failed horribly - all the lurid details just made her look like a Bad Woman who was capable of cold-blooded murder. the comments on those videos are totally revolting - people claiming she scheduled an abortion on her birthday since she'd be delighted... wtf

*these people are fucking ghouls. the glee with which they say "finally, we're getting to the GOOD stuff" regarding a woman stabbing a guy to death... total dystopia
