The anime is pretty great. I'm not much of an anime fan either but Fist of the North Star is a must-see.

Oh, it definitely has flaws. One of the biggest ones being there's only around 10-12 character models. Pure laziness. Stick with it because I thought the story was good and the combat, as simple as it is, is fun.
Aside from some of the "tomb raider" type waiz, Uncharted 2 is fucking excellent. The train part and truck part are both an homage to the desert chase from Raiders of the Lost Ark, the best adventure action scene in my opinion.

Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume for the DS is pretty awesome. It's like a Strategy-Standard rpg hybrid kind of like Bahamut Lagoon or Devil Survivor. Glad I'm getting back into my DS. I forgot how many good rpgs are out for this.
