Yeah god damn I'm loving Sleeping Dogs. The combat is fucking great, I'm paying attention to and even enjoying and getting engrossed in the story which I haven't done with a video game in god fucking knows how long, the missions are all the right length, the side missions are quick and fun, the cars all feel different and the driving works great, and I even like the colour.

Hong Kong is a great setting for a game like this. So beautifully chaotic and varied with just the right touch of claustrophobia. A huge contrast to the bland, grey aesthetic of the GTA games.

Holy crap. Well that'll be interesting.

Anyone play Darksiders 2?

I've owned Catherine for like 8 months now and just started playing it. Holy fuck is it hard, even on "easy. "

finished Spec Ops definitely threw me for a loop at the end. But the fact remains as a game it's irritating and boring, but the story and soundtrack were both well done.
I really want to play through the other choices but no way I'm going to do that. Might find youtube vids.

I would be amazed if Valve actually produced any gaming platform of their own. All they did was post job openings for hardware work guy imagineers. I'm sure it's just controllers and peripheral stuff. From what I understand they've distanced themselves from any of that steambox speculation that was floating around earlier in the year.

I wonder if you will be able to have more than one save file at a time in BL2 if so I also propose we all start a separate BL2 playthrough for REE buddies apart from our own SP. So no one gets Riley loot burgled chump styled because someone is clearly weaker than the rest of the pack

Listen guy I've played 3 games this year

I don't know about Sleeping Dogs. Thus far Saints Row 3 is the only "crime sandbox" game I like. I hate all the GTA games, as well a whole slew of others of the same ilk.

I made it maybe an hour into GTA4 & Saint's Row 3 each. GTA4 just felt slow somehow, and SR3 was a little too cartoony and silly in the art for me. I would say as a rule I don't like car-theft criminal sandbox games.

I've played a ton of this year's games; Sleeping Dogs is absolutely the best of them, and by a country mile. You can wait for a price drop, it's not like the game's going to go bad or something, but I have no regrets whatsoever over making this a full price purchase. I've been sucked into this game entirely, staying up way too late doing dumb shit like fight tournaments and going on dates. Everything you do in the game is fun. 9/10.
