Imagine if Dr. Robotnik showed up and chained the coffin to the back of his hover-car..

That Hearthfire DLC completely cluster fucked Skyrim on the 360. The game is now a stuttering mess of a retard. Good job, dudes!

Well, that leaves me open to play (1) level of Crysis, (1) level of The Punisher, and possibly some GoldenEye, but I might not bother, zero rush on ever beating GoldenEye. We still need an "epic game" to replace Skyrim for the time being.

Is now the time to try Borderlands?

Witcher 2??

Reckoning: Kingdom of Alimony?!?

Should I restart New Vegas?

I've tried twice now, but something put me off both times. Never got anywhere much further than the tutorial, though. Well, third times the charm or strike three, lets see.

Oh, by the way, not being anti-social, I have a dusty old 360 Borderlands copy I'll be playing.

The be fair in borderlands, as is usual with almost all games, the tutorial is an insulting purgatory.

Good lord, while I am now finally enjoying what Borderlands is the humor is that sort of insufferable post-Tarantino meets Crank garbage that I guess I would enjoy if I was ten years younger and enjoyed oxycodone rather than booze. Nine toes, but three balls... Fuck you!

Looks awesome....pretty much a text adventure set in the Blade Runner universe. Might have to purchase this soon. http://www.cabrerabrothers.com/

Any Xbox dudes playing Mark of the Ninja? It's supposed to be quite good, I hope it gets released on more platforms.

$26 is the most expensive one aka the Deluxe edition, $15 for the Standard edition which is quite fair I think. And all your cash is going to the two creators, not some big publisher. I do like that some of the extra stuff from the Deluxe edition ties into the game.

I used to love point and click / text games way back when, too. 1990s Sierra + Lucas Arts <3 forever. I stumbled upon that site after searching for more info about Cypher and I already see at least 4 or 5 games I want to play in the future.

Work on the words and if you get something good going, I am sure it wouldnt be too hard to find an artist / programmer. Not sure how far or serious you'd want to take it but there's never been a better time for one or two man projects.

Kickstart it!

Speaking of old school games, I watched a stream of X-Com: Enemy Unknown and it looks incredibly fun.

The only thing I'm fretting about with regard to X-Com is how they're going to manage the sense of tension that the original game worked so hard. I see that there is a sort of modern 3D fog of war in the new one, but I'm not sure if it really looks like it will work any better than the original black-until-you-walk-there 1991 graphics.

Of course I don't demand that this game serve as a 1:1 recreation of the original or even necessarily adapt any of the old gameplay mechanics... if it's a good game, and they figured their shit out, I'll be happy. It's just funny that even after watching all these videos I don't really know if this is a game that I will feel at all familiar with.

yeah i agree with you. i've also been griping about the lack of randomization as well as the fog of war. i dont doubt now that it wont be an amazing product and deserving of the title no matter how far a departure it is at this point but that otherworldly level of replayability might not be there and might be simply out of reach at this point. i mean i still play the first game and terror from the deep to this day.. 18 years later, and its because of that 'different game every single time' aspect of xcom.

i was thinking though also about literally how many times i mightve played the original demo of xcom which was just a sample of a terror mission scenario with snakemen and chyssalids that was almost a no win scenario. i honestly dont remember if i ever did it. i mightve. which was amazing and i played it so many times i'd probably try it again if i could find it. just think about that though, the fucking demo was a borderline unbeatable sinking ship. "here! play this game and get your guts ripped out by the most intimidating enemies in the game. enjoy! please buy the final product!" there are no balls like that anymore..
