I dunno man... i got 20k kills without even PVPing in GOW2 (since SP kills count too). this is just insane.. especially since MP isn't that good to begin with

riley, get off your newfound game high horse and regale us with tales of your craziest trophies

when the original game came out, the reviews were really mixed. in computer gaming world, which i always trusted back then, they said it had fun parts but the pacing was really bad (t-rex in the second level and then...wolves) - i think it got 4/5 stars mostly for originality (not fps) but the review wasn't very good.

then it blew up like crazy and they wound up making it the action game of the year, which is insane because especially the first one was an adventure game with action elements - i tried to replay it this year when it went up on GOG and it was so boring and slow and it ran like shit on my 2012 computer.

i'm still surprised it was such a hit, but, then again, i do remember downloading a 56mb tomb raider porno vid off AOL when my parents went camping in door country for the weekend.

i played the first 4 and really enjoyed them. the anniversary reboot and the ones that followed were also really well done. looking forward to playing this new one eventually. it's a good series. and when are reboots not good? especially when they're of old, outdated, good games? i'm still waiting for a updated version of resident evil 2.

Having not played the new Tomb Raider at all take this with a grain of salt but hitting level 60 four times sounds difficult probably but much moreso monotonous & tedious. Obviously that's still not easy but time consuming is more doable, at least for me, than incredibly difficult.

There's a bunch of games that have "beat without dying" trophies that are absurdly impossible. Take a look at the trophies for Max Payne, they're just fucking retarded. New York Minute Hardcore (beat the game without dying with a one-minute time limit per level that you can only add time with kills).

There's other games where you have to get a perfect score on every minigame in the game like Prototype that are just fucking monstrously difficult to master every one of them.

The battle trophies in Star Ocean 4 are pretty legendarily difficult..

Then there's the awful get perfect time trials for every level in fucking Mirror's Edge ?! Like, fuck, man..

I dunno. I feel like tedious is easier than difficult but that's maybe just my brain.

That demo did suck. The PR leading up to the game's release was all kinds of awkward, too. "You'll want to protect her."

But! Will gladly eat some crow if I ever play the game and enjoy it.

my laptop will only play battlefield 3 for 15-20 minutes before the game freezes. I got a cooling pad and it helped a bit, but it still freezes after a while. this sucks. shelled out 60 bucks for the premium edition and this is what I get.

I have a dell inspiron n5110. it can run BF3 pretty smooth...until it fucking takes a shit. :fp: :fp:

Do you get a longer game life if you turn all game settings to min spec?

Also, do you have the latest GPU drivers for that card?

I just checked and there is a new driver I am now downloading, not sure how much that's going to help... I've been running it on low, and it doesn't really add that much time to it. :x

Apparently, I have 29 TF2 items but it seems nearly all of them can't be sold?

Probably a good thing as I was going to use those funds to buy Resident Evil 6. I'll take it as a sign.

The constant squealing and pep talks to herself ("I can DO this!") get a bit much for me too, though. The game walks a really fine line with its attempt to make Lara believable as a female character without resorting to total stereotype and mostly gets it right, but it's still in "good for an action game" territory, really.

Also, to dial it down a notch, I'll never get sick of Slipping Through Crevice Sideboob.

Not on my PC... I mean, it has the usual advantages of running on a more powerful machine, but the art direction and color palette of Uncharted 3 is better.

I liked the new TR, but I'm gonna agree with Mike that I didn't think she was at all a likable character. Like, totally annoying. I read a review that was talking about her evolution from ditzy retard to fearless leader, and I didn't see that at all. Even towards the end you still felt like "when am I gonna fall through some stupid thing in the floor because this dumb-ass is still a total adventuring amateur?"

It was fun, but I coulda lived without like 90% of her dialogue, I guess.

Having major glitches since I DL'd it, have to change servers a few times before I can play. Good fun though.

Despite the tiny Kratos at times, I'm enjoying the Ascention. They really did well with the boobs at the end of the first level for the titilation bit.
