So there are numerous "walking, walking, walki....oh shit I'm falling" cinematic moments in TR?

PASS.

I mean that's not really even the worst of it, though it happens to happen a LOT to one person, but you will eventually not hear the protagonist's voice, or [SPACE] past it as soon as possible because you'll be tired of actually feeling like a woman.

hahahaha

looking forward to this thread being flooded with bioshock spam, christ hoping it's positive.

Been fiddling around with dota 2, the learning curve is getting blindfolded and thrown out of a helicopter.

types-Drake Nathan from change nice a it find just I

Aside from fun time with Lara, I beat Serious Sam. Something I did do many years ago, but it's still a worthy accomplishment today.

Geoff scoffed at my vexation that I only had two weeks to beat TR before Bioshock came in and took over. Well, I'm down to one week, and I'm not sure it can be done. I just glanced a walk-through to see how many levels I have left, and unless one or two are real quick like this will be down to the wire. Surely, I'll have to nickel and dime the game through out the week.

Some say I grew a beard, cancelled my Bioshock Amazon order, and per-ordered from Gamestop instead. Then shaved off the beard three weeks later. BUT THAT'S A DAMN LIE!!! Or is it? Image

Why Gamestop? I thought you were an Amazon man all the way?
I am, but I remembered I have a ton of store credit with them, and one is right there when I get off the Long Island Rail Road. So, I'm not playing the waiting game this time. I want that dirty so and so in my hand as soon as possible.

As for my beard, well that is a tale for another time.

25% through tomb raider and thoroughly meh'd towards it. Lara Croft or "LC" is so fucking dull and isn't anything to look at making it even more dull. IMO Nathan Drake is still a way better character and way more fun. I don't know if any aspect of tomb raiders gameplay actually does anything better than a number of games but all parts put together its a deep enjoyable game and is still fun but I haven't had any cinematic chase/escape sequences that even deserve to be compared on uncharted levels. It's a fun game but I don't understand any reason for a bunch of people to rave over it

oh shit, i forgot about that. no no, you're right in pointing out herculean challenges that make TR's seem like nothing. i vividly remember seeing that mirror's edge shit in my early days of meaningless digital reward hunting and thinking it was crazy. although, apparently they're going to patch that TR trophy because it's so much tedious grinding

btw, i wasn't calling out your attitude, just your conspicuous absence from this thread as of late. the gaming funk seems to be going around

and i wasn't even calling out FBTS. i was, how do you say, blindingly fucking drunk last night. stupid irish holiday

hell yes. i think MOST games with cover systems need to take some hints from TR.

naughty dog should take another hint and throw drake into a full-on rape situation. that'd get all the headlines and jezebel could write a ton of articles about naughty dog's forward-thinking man-rape scenario. plus maybe, just maybe, i'd finally give a shit about all the dumb trouble drake gets himself into. awakening ancient evil or whatever is getting old (it's your fault, dude) but seeking revenge for getting steubenville'd? day one buy

Combat in Tomb Raider handles so much better than in the Uncharted games, it's not even funny. I've always felt the controls in Uncharted were too floaty, and now that I'm playing a similar game that gets it right... yeah.

do you mean UC as in UC1, or the series in general? never played UC1 so you might be right, but in uncharted 3, almost EVERY puzzle was like "hmm... how can i do this? oh wait, right! my journal," like he constantly kept forgetting that thing held all the secrets to life and the universe
