I don't follow gaming studio news unless I read an article here and there, but was Lucasarts a money pit towards the end here? I thought with Disney's backing we might get Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max PSN/XBLA ports, at the least. Huh?

I'm pretty sure they were profitable, or close to it. The force unleashed games seemed to well sales wise. Disney just doesn't want any internal development. They're turning LucasArts to a publisher ala Activision that is going to license out their ip to other developers. So were still going to get Star Wars games from external devs, but it's up to them what they license out and to whom. Disney seems to hate game development from the looks of it.

Yeah, I guess it's like some realty company buying a skyscraper but removing the food court from it because they've never dealt, nor want to involve themselves with that sort of business. But they rent out space in front to a hot dog vendor.

Well maybe that's because the little bit of money they make off the hot dog vendors rent it worth more to them than the time and effort put into running their own.

This was one of the deadly traps for me as a kid. Simon's Quest's music is top notch at least, and was a constant reminder that I MUST be playing a great game, despite what I saw unfold. Eyes and Ears at war for the mechanical soul of the brain.
I started the ROM.

4 is really fun, no doubt. I think it's funner than Dracula X, thought not quite as difficult. But I feel like 1 and 3 on the NES are better, more pure experiences.

Injustice demo is garbage... Wtf. The game looks good, but it feels weird to me.

I'm still going to be a The Bill and buy it day one...

I don't think it's that bad. Lex Luthor feels like an interesting character.

A lot of people didn't like the MK9 demo, but that game turned out good. It'll most likely be the same here.

Super Castelvania IV is my favorite because they tightened up the controls and removed a lot of cheap stuff from the originals. Medusa Heads, Igors, and bird things are minimal.

There's room for one more.

Speaking of, looks like I'm getting a bunch more Amazon credit rolling my way, so what to pre-order now? How about that Deadpool game? 360 version of Watch Dogs? Resident Evil: Renovations... Retaliation... Revolutions... Whatever? Not getting that game with Juno in it till I force myself to play Heavy Rain one of these days.

I beat Bioshock: Infinite tonight, so a new lottery for Fridays game begins again. I'm thinking Metro 2033. Hopefully they patched it.

Wasteland 2 and Divine Divinity: Original Sin too! I won't have to buy any new games once these all start releasing.

Oh man, that looks great too. Thats fucking awesome that the game is pretty much finished and all they're kickstarting for is to hire a secondary team to fill the game with more content. Seems like that means it'll be released sooner than the others.

Yeah, I like that too instead of funding the start of the game like everything else. It is a great studio too and their last game Divinity II: The Dragon Knight Saga was good but kind of rough in the animations and 3D worldspace. The writing was really good and it had some clever sidequests and dialogue. Not sure if I can back that one as I already pledged $50 to the Torment one but will purchase it on release.
