the twitch streaming service seems really cool

apparently, a very small number of PS4s are having an issue of not being able to start the OS when first plugged in. the blue light bar on the console just pulses and that's it.

but some dude already found a way around it. it's kinda complicated and involves removing the HDD, restarting the consoles, turning it off, then putting the HDD back in or something. hopefully this doesn't happen to many people, but i'm glad there is a fix if it does. and apparently the standard warranty is 1 year? that's not bad. plus, removing the HDD doesn't void your warranty

shit, i'm still watching it to get in on that launch excitement. i'm hoping for a 1st party reveal or two, that'd be good enough for me. and i've got TLOU season pass and want to know who's going to be in the DLC

hopefully you guys getting it tonight/tomorrow don't end up with a faulty console. really hard to tell how widespread it is since it could just be a few very vocal people

so i've been watching some killzone streams on twitch from people who got their taco bell systems early. they're just using the mic that was included in the box and it sounds really good. very surprised.

one less accessory to buy right away. have you seen anybody doing a twitch stream with just a mic so they can talk to chatters, even if the chatters can't see them? i'm curious if it's possible without a camera because i haven't seen anyone streaming who doesn't have their camera feed in the upper right

totally possible w/o a camera. happened a lot. plus it shows the chat on your tv while you play and you can talk to people

also excellent, dude playing killzone via remote play. so he's on his work internet connecting to his PS4 at home. this... is pretty fucking awesome. who knows what his connection speeds are, but the fact this is even possible and there doesn't seem to be much lag at all for a game as graphically intense as killzone is amazing to me

That is pretty fucking amazing. You could remote play from a friends house or a restaurant/coffee shop with wifi, or even while relaxing in the backyard. Very cool
