Pisscubes wrote:So far the new Zelda game is awesome. It controls better than a link to the past, I so far think the smaller puzzles in the dungeons are better and they give you the ability to "rent" equipment at anytime so you can go explore stuff in any order without having to go to a certain dungeon first to get a certain item to then get past a certain obstacle. It has a better save system than LttP too. The mechanic where you can make yourself 2d and go up against walls to solve puzzles and traverse some minor platforming sections is a cool little thing too. I'm only a couple hours in but, shit is tight.
Amazon says I don't get it till next week, which I'm fine with. You know, after years of having tons of games on pre-order or wish list this is it. The last Amazon game I'm expecting. Huh? There will be more for sure, but it's so weird looking at open orders and seeing nothing. There are a few games still coming for the 360 or PS3 that peak my interest, but I can't even remember their names. Plus, I'd rather get any PS4 version if their cross-generational titles. Also, the leaves the new Bats game. Already down 9 bucks. We'll wait a bit longer.

Doing what? Getting sued by Rhode Island?

2K should buy it and merge it with their WWE license. John Cena's Superstar Adventure in Amular. There's how you make your billion.

Wasn't Amalur a game Big Huge already made and then Schilling bought it and slapped their mythology on it?
Yeah, something like that. I'm telling you, some one should buy it and then just slap a NASCAR theme/storyline or something like that on it. 2 billion dollars right there.

goddamn does that look fun... a mere 17 years between them having the ability to make a 3D mario game and them being able to make a 3D mario game that isn't hideous to look at

More than anything, I'm shocked that a major publisher made a lengthy "gameplay trailer" that's actually a fucking gameplay trailer and not 80% cutscenes or stuff that isn't even in the game.

Also, now that Colonial Marines is permanently down to 10 Euros, I couldn't resist anymore, and... yeah, this game sucks.

You're like me-- and not in the good way. :awesome:

"A kick in the nuts? Why would I pay for a kick in the--- OOOH! It's down to 10 bucks! KICK MY NUTS!"
Didn't I pretty much say I'm turning into you when I "reviewed" Remember Me? :rhug: :lhug:

Anyway, I'm just too much of a fan of the movie not to check this out, but the cheap thrill of the pulse rifle sound effect and other odds and ends basically swiped directly from the movie lasted for roughly ten minutes. I think I got pissed off at the game the very first time it let me shoot a xenomorph, actually. It controls like ass, the animations are ridiculous, and the first time I was standing disoriented in a dark room with no idea where to go was before I'd shot a single bullet.

I just can't believe nobody can make a good game with this stuff anymore. It's all there. Just connect the fucking dots.

nice  heard some really good things about puppeteer even though it was sorta overlooked. hopefully it makes it's way to PS+ sometime

speaking of which, PS+ will be $30 basically everywhere on black friday, including digitally on amazon. I've still got 6 months left but I'm definitely taking advantage.

some of the videos i saw made the controls look a little floaty (a la LBP) which i am not a fan of, but it just looked too cool to pass up

The recently revealed Steam Machine from PC and laptop developer iBuyPower has been priced at $499 (about £308), according to a report by The Verge.

Besides looking nifty, iBuyPower's Steam Machine will contain a multicore AMD CPU, AMD Radeon R9 270 graphics card, a 500 GB hard drive, and one of Valve's upcoming dual-touchpad based Steam Controllers. Other features include Bluetooth and wi-fi built in and the light bar will be customisable, hence it being different colours in the pictures yesterday.

iBuyPower's Steam Machine will launch next year with SteamOS built into it, but not Windows, meaning it will only run Linux games - something Valve is banking on becoming more widespread as Steam Machines enter the marketplace.

a mere $500 for a Linux only system with a potentially crappy controller? sold!

$400-500 non-upgradeable system running 30 fps and below games at 720-900p? Sold! :awesome:

You could just install the copy of Windows you probably already own. I already suffered through the DualShock 3, no way the Steam controller is as bad as that thing.
