I have no idea. I wouldn't be surprised if they got kicked off by now...

Well, I remember talking to Corchado back then and he was like, "Believe me, no one is more surprised about this signing than me." So who knows? I always listen to their stuff but what I'm wondering is why it took them so long between albums...

Not death metal, but:

I've been listening to this lately. I'm pretty sure it's OOP.

I need to change the name of this thread.

That record's pretty fucking good, I haven't been able to find a copy of it but it says on the Klaxon site they're going to reissue it on vinyl. Do you like the Ashdautas stuff that dude has done?

I just placed an order with NWN for the new Proclamation, Embrace of Thorns' Atonement Ritual, and the new Ignivomous record, Satan shall be celebrated in all His infernal glory in 3 to 5 business days. Proclamation may not belong in this thread, but fuck you if you don't like Proclamation.

Yeah, I like it. It's not going to blow anyone away with its novelty but it definitely has heart and is "authentic" or whatever. I need the new Ignivomous, I'm glad it FINALLY came out. :)

I haven't heard Ashdautas or the split LP ("Worship Black Twilight") the Volahn guy did...I'll be sure to get them soon. Thanks for the rec.

RE: Proclamation, I dig it...I just wish they would invest some more time in their recording sound. Music like that only sounds better IMO when it has a better production. I don't know what they're afraid of...they're a fucking blur machine either way...

I think the no-fi production suits Proclamation just fine, I love how every song is one giant black explosion after another. Those fucking cymbal crashes sound like the end of the world.

Pretty standard fare, nothing groundbreaking.. but I'm digging a new band called Rev. 16:8; which is actually more black/death than death metal really. I feel quite confident about comparing them to.. no.. I'll outright call them a clone of mid/late era Marduk. So, if you're into that kind of sound.. highly recommended.

Also, Sanctification. Members of Dark Funeral and some other Swedish assholes I can't recall. Really simple, no frills, non-tech death metal.. but godDAMN is it effectively heavy in getting the point across. If Six Feet Under were actually good at playing their instruments and weren't an unintentional joke... well, you get the point.

can't be bothered anymore.i cringe when old bands keep putting albums out.and i've never even heard of any of the more recent bands, but i'm sure i would find them boring as fuck.in fact, every genre of music has nothing to offer anymore.just lame repetitions of the old days...

SPOILERSPOILER_SHOW
the ONLY new material i'm sincerely excited for is Cumshotte.pants will be shat and bitches raped when Thrashmaster posts new songs.

Has anyone heard the Pek or Vanhelgd albums that NWN put out? I want to make an order soon and those are both on the list of possibles.

No, that's what makes the current one so awesome. The production is pretty tight/standard for "professional" death metal.

Proclamation are both DEATH and BLACK metal, so they absolutely belong in this thread.

Well, we might as well change this thread to ALL cool new metal coming out.
