Agreed, obviously. The last issue I picked up was 14. I think I'm going to just collect the trades from now on because I rarely make it out to the comic shop anymore. Did Vol. 3 come out yet?spacehamster wrote:Loveless is fucking awesome.

Re: Last Comic Book You Read 1-10
I recently picked up Spawn Collections #1 - 3 for $10. I really liked the animated series, but never did read the comic book. I've read a book and a half (approximately 15 issues). It's alright, and for the price I paid for it it's worth it.

Finally picked up the 300 hardcover the other day... I read this back when the miniseries came out and never got around to buying the HC because it's kinda expensive.
Holds up extremely well, and the alterations they made in the movie sting that much more when you read the comic again and see how it really didn't need any changes.

Holy shit what a freakshow. So ridiculous it's just amazing. I never knew about Seth Fisher before this, it's too bad he died.

The Boys up to about issue 16 so far.
8/10.
Not quite on par as Preacher or Punisher MAX, but still funny and offensive as hell.

Frank Miller's Robocop - 7/10
Hundreds of fairly well drawn pages of destruction and a minimum of plot. It's not bad, but kind of a guilty pleasure. Would have been one rad as fuck film if they'd used it as a script.
Elektra - Assassin 1-5 9/10
Fantastic art & great writing. Looking forward to finishing this.
Promethea collections 1-3
I won't even rate this, that's how great it is. It's the second time I'm reading it and it's still amazing. I can see how some people found it to be too didactical, but I love how Moore presents his world view in comic format. Plus, even if you don't care about Kabbala etc. it's still amazing to see what he can do with the medium.

Re: Last Comic Book You Read 1-10
I've been a fan of Matt Fraction's Invincible Iron Man from the start, but #500 really knocked it out of the park. I thought telling an absolutely epic story in a single issue (granted, it was longer than that, probably more like 40 pages) was a lost art that died in the 90s.

Just found this comic at dad's house. I'm not that into comic anymore so I will probably give it to someone who is.
Cool read though.

Last comic I read... I didn't buy it, I was waiting for my LIRR train and skimmed through a Punisher comic in one of them magazine stores that also sells cigarettes and pizza. Fucking thing had the Punisher as Frankenstein fighting Wolverine's gay son. Fucking horrible. I didn't pay a single penny, yet still wanted my money back.

Re: Last Comic Book You Read 1-10
Bought the TPB of this the other day and it's totally fucking awesome. The art style really grabbed me with it's almost Geoff Darrow-esque level of line detail (and by "almost", I mean only about 20% of Geoff Darrow, but you get the idea). Some really interesting concepts of this orc universe that I liked a lot (more "heavy metal" magazine over "world of warcraft", if you get my drift).
Highly recommended!
